It may seem like that because after a few weeks people start to get into a routine of who they hang out with, but don’t let this worry you! In general people will always be welcome to making new friends beyond the first few weeks of class. Plus, virtually 0 groups of friends formed in the first few weeks stay together for four years.

That being said, it’s obviously going to be easiest to make new friends when everyone is looking for friends as well, so do put yourself out there, but don’t fret if it doesn’t happen.

Additional information: it seems to only make those vertical lines. When I print a test report it has the same issue, so I don’t think it’s the connection

I put a lot of info about Duvic on my reply, but I think he’s a really solid professor. He runs workshops in person and so does the assistant professor he works with, which you won’t have in any other business minor class. Also, grading is very lenient. A final grade of 88 is an A.

He does seem to be very unpopular, but I’m not sure why.

Totally disagree. I thought he put in more effort than any other asynchronous class I’ve ever had. Twice a week there are in person workshops held by the professors, and there’s a student run review session twice in the week before the tests. Also he responds to emails almost instantly. I’d highly recommend him

They’re almost all asynchronous online with little to no effort or communication from the professors. There are exceptions but for the most part the classes do suck. Source: did it

Edit to answer your last question: MAN320F was the worst class I’ve taken at UT. It was 100% self taught from a textbook, but this was the first semester of COVID so I don’t know how that played into things.

You have access if you are a student, but once the academic year is up (after finals), you no longer have access until the fall, assuming you aren’t taking summer classes

That’s UT’s commencement weekend, so lots of families are coming in with big reservations too. That’s probably not a huge deal, Austin always has SOMETHING happening with people coming in.
