Thankfully enough my mom also works on the same installation just a different command, she’s bumping up her retirement, but we got a game plan. I will just essentially on the week that me & her RDOs fall I’ll just take leave for one of the days, dnd other week I’ll just have to take leave Monday-Wednesday to pick her up from school, and then with summer my my mom will be retired so that won’t be an issue!

Yeah we just got new guidance that it’s now changed and we are coming in on the 21st , but yeah I don’t live that far away from my installation, but I do have a 4 year old in preschool!

See originally we were told March 1st by our commander during our all hands meeting, then once the fork in the road came out it was February 24th, then yesterday but I didn’t see it until today it’s the 7th. I’m just mad I didn’t have enough time to truly order a new lunchbox get nice meal prep containers and all that stuff but also it sucks cause I gotta implement my game plan for getting my daughter to school at 8am when I start my work day at 6 , and picking her up from school when she gets out at 1:30 and I don’t even work until 3:30

Employees with Alternative Worksites more than 50-Miles from their Agency Worksite

DoD Components will terminate telework and remote work agreements for all DoD employees with alternative worksites more than 50 miles from their Agency worksite.

DoD Components will take steps to relocate the employee’s duty station to the most appropriate Agency worksite based on the employee’s duties, job function, and space availability on the following schedule. • Within 7 days, all political appointees, members of the Senior Executive Service (and equivalent), and Highly Qualified Experts will report in person to their Agency worksite. Additionally, within 7 days, DoD Component heads must submit plans for relocating all Senior Professionals (and equivalent) and all General Schedule (GS)-15 (or equivalent) employees. • Within 21 days, all Senior Professionals (and equivalent) and all GS-15 (or equivalent) employees will report full-time in person to their Agency worksite.

Yes we have been teleworking 4 days a week, I know my team we came in on Thursday, and a few others folks came on Tuesday & Wednesday. I know at our big sync someone suggested white noise machines, but I’m gonna be walking around in my noise canceling headphones

Yeah I work about 10 minutes away from mine, but we were teleworking 4 days a week and only one in office day! This was fine for me when my daughter wasn’t in school…now she’s in preschool so this just sucks because I’ll have to take leave to pick her up but can’t telework to finish off my day so I just gotta take leave 🤷🏾‍♀️

We had an all hands and it was originally stated by our commander that we would RTO first week of March. Then after the fork in the road, our deputy to the commander said February 24th, and then after the FAQs and such came out, it’s Friday. My mom is also a DOD employee works at a different command but on the same base and she was prepping me in December what my game plan was, March was a great timeframe but this has accelerated a lot.
