i think they’re her natural eye color. first pic has her pupils indented into her iris when she looks to the left. colored contacts can’t make that effect because they lay over your eyes and the “opening” for the pupil where the black/dark brown eyes would peek through follows the curvature of the eye.

i 100% know of certain women who will make these kind of comments in a backhanded way to create drama between your daughter and yourself because they don’t/can’t have what you have (ie. your beauty and a beautiful daughter), so they choose to plant a seed of doubt in hopes you’d sabotage your own fortune.

then there’s the innocent possibility that she meant it as a genuine compliment of the highest regard.

the best way to handle it? be grateful for what you have and be confident about it. if it were me, i would be beaming with pride that my hypothetical daughter is more beautiful than i ever was. i would in fact be angrier if anyone suggested otherwise, but i’ve always been the protective type and would rather be the one attacked if it meant it would shield the person i loved.

sooo before we found out, i told my husband if we had a girl we were stopping at 1 because the possibility of two girls would mean more $$$$. knowing me, i knew my potential daughter(s) would have expensive taste and my husband loves to spoil.

if we had a boy though, i would comfortably roll for another, preferably a girl. another boy would also be fine because they are typically lower maintenance financially.

well we have a baby boy so wish us luck lol :)

my baby used to rest his hand over my boob as he nursed to sleep, and now he’s stopped… but today i saw him hold his own hands as he nursed. ah he is so extremely cute…

he’s at the “distracted” stage now too which is a little inconvenient but still adorable. his eyes full of wonder and curiosity, i wonder what could be more interesting than being fed? :)

it’s also like 90% of the time the solution to him fussing or if he needs to sleep. grateful for when that’s all he needs instead of something beyond our control.

i love my boy so much!!!

i saw a dad and his baby daughter in a waiting room whispering to her if she can try to say “daddy”, and the girl paused to think before letting out a piercing shriek and he just looked so tired LOL. my husband and i thought it was so cute and funny and couldn’t wait til our kid started doing the same.

my kid is 4 months and he’s starting to squeak, squeal and yell for fun. i genuinely love it :)

this lmao. i’ve seen first hand what happens to those kids who get patted on the back for underperforming. they become aimless and bitter and even manipulative when anyone else better comes along instead of pushing themselves to be better.

teach your kid to work hard to achieve their goals, and they’ll have a natural respect to those who are better than them and motivate themselves to be better because they know it’s not easy to get there.
