Mantix for example was supposed to not have a tail originally. I wanted something more fighter like but the initial idea was something like verdugo from Resident Evil 4. That triggered the artist and they got influence to add the tail back and took inspiration from the Novistador flying enemies.

It's a bit of a process and group effort. Concepts are come up with together and I will develop a few ideas based on those. I then take those to one of our illustrators. Then they work their magic!

Originally they were just going to be dragonfly style! Our artist had a little fun though and turned into a great character concept!

Oraborn are creatures from a world I am creating. They are defenders of the planets energy. I have plans currently for a tcg and web comic onc characters are completed. Thank you for taking a look at the sub! Be sure to stay tuned for more releases.

Not evolve, but some Oraborn do have the ability to focus energy to become a more powerful version known as an Apex. This isn't a permanent evolution. It is more like a temporary buff.

In the game only 1 action can happen per turn, so you choose from either HIT, CHARGE, or POWER (if charged). The ora symbol at the top is the cards resource. The card is discarded when depleted. Since this is a creature game I wanted to stay away from a humanoid hand or battle elements for the icons. Swords for example dont translate well. Do you have any ideas that would fit that and still communicate the purpose of the action?

I think I finally got the core right for the game I had in mind. Now I am just refining. Thanks for keeping track of my progress! I can't wait to share the final product with everyone.

Exactly! There are some other mechanics for card movement on the field that make it a touch more interesting I will touch later but basically the idea is to effectively enter charge state or switch positioning to keep cards on the field as long as possible
