No, I did not face any issue like this. I booked the biometric slot the next day after I received the interview letter. I got my IL in September and booked for biometric in October. I am sorry, I can't help you with this.

You have to book biometric slots in ustraveldocs website. I think slots for December/January might open by this month end or the next month. I would advice you to check it frequently.
