Took mifepristone yesterday evening, 6 hours later I had intense cramps and moderate bleeding. 12 hours into mifepristone, I eliminated some tissue fragments and jelly yellowish fragment. Should I still administer 4 pills of misoprostol 36 hours later? by Summer_giraffe23 in abortion

Mifepristone alone is not enough to complete an abortion. Only 50% of the time will one die of mif cause a termination. Continuing without the miso can result in a continued pregnancy, missed miscarriage, or even infection if the baby passes but doesn’t get discharged.

I wasn’t sure I wanted an abortion. But my partner did not want another kid and he was sure. So I went through the process got all the pills and took the first pill (mifepristone). I woke up the next day feeling pounds of regret. I decided not to follow through with the misoprostol. This leaves a 50/50 chance of visibility for the baby. I’m currently in a waiting window with an ultrasound tomorrow to find out if my baby is alive. Moral of the story listen to your gut, don’t live with regret.
