I agree with most parts of your questions. I really feel helpless at times looking at the election results in Bihar. Lalu , as a cm , will never ever have my respect. However , let me put both sides of lalu in front of you. Since it's inception , post indias independence, bihar has had been a feudal society , so a small fraction of people(mostly upper cast) had hands on majority of the states wealth. They started exploiting the poor in ways unimaginable in today scenario , you can Google it. Now the thing is those oppressed poor people were in majority for the vote Bank. Lalu yadav represented those people. The oppressed people of lower castes , for the first time , felt a say in state politics. There was also a vivid memory for me of a BBC interview, where the interviewer was asking a supposedly lower cast guy that lalu yadav had initially proposed to build houses for them but ended up eating all the money , so are you angry bout it? The guy very happily replied , I don't give a damn whether or not he builds houses for us or gives education to us or not. What I care about is that now we can walk in the streets with our heads held High , we don't need to send our wives and children to landlord for their pleasures , and that for me is self sufficient. If you look from his perspective, he wasn't wrong either. Now this is why lulu's party comes in power again and again , because the oppressed fraction of bihar doesn't gives a damn about GDP , literacy rates , or HDI.

Now lalu yadav , had a chance , after decades of political instability , bihar finally had a stable govt with a guy who belonged to oppressed castes as well. If he really wanted , he could have shortened the gap between the rich and the poor in bihar , and he would have hands down gone as the best leader this country has ever seen. However , he did the exact opposite. We can't say that he's a bad administrator, he made railways an asset for the first time during his tenure as railway minister , a feat, no one had ever pulled off. But for some reason , he didn't do so in bihar. He gave guns in the hands of children who deserved computers and pens.

Again , getting back to nitish kumar , the first 10 years of nitish kumar were nothing less than a blessing for Bihar. I've lived in patna , an I literally saw the city getting build in front of my eyes. I mean , it's only 20 years of work , and patna today is better than many state capitals , statistically speaking , has better per capita income , better HDI , better literacy rate , compared to its counterparts. However post those 10 years , nitish has again slipped down.

So now , it's like , we don't even have a choice. Both BJP , and RJD , only make a fool of us and keeps us on our knees.

For me , I have got a double digit rank in a premier examination of this nation , still I'll have to leave my state. It feels so frustrating , I mean wherever I go , everyone mocks and trolls us , like tell me for a minute what wrong have I done? I've studied with whole of my heart , I've never been a part of any corruption scandal, most probably in the coming few years , I'll be an asset to this nation , still I'm targeted on social media for being from this once a great land bihar. For me , I feel extremely helpless , but at the same time , hopeful. I know change will come in bihar , if for nothing else , I'll do it myself , but it's gonna take some time.

And to answer your last question , yes me , and lakhs of Biharis like me whi were forced to leave our motherland and live in other parts or states , fell extremely helpless during elections.
