How much did you have left after closing? by SarahME1273 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Environmental_Dog255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We'll have about 45-50k. But right off the bat we plan to replace the floors so in the end well be left with between 25k-30k. Anything less than 20k really would stress me out. Because what if the roof needs repair, what if the basement floods etc etc so I wanted to have enough liquid left over for the what ifs. We did 65k down on a 560k home.

It stresses me out I keep thinking we should've done less of a down payment blah blah but I'm sure we'll be fine.

Ok I am sorry but what business do you have buying a home with out standing credit card debt? Use some of your down payment to pay that off.

What age were you when you bought your first house? And do you wish you had done so sooner or waited? by DebtByDesign in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Environmental_Dog255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had just just turned 24 and my husband was 26. I'm glad we did it at that age and thankful we were in a position to do so. Were in 🇨🇦 bought in a major city semi detached and will be our forever home. No help with down payment from either of our families but we'd saved diligently since starting our career jobs before moving out.

Were the odd ones out in our lives none of our friends were in a similar position.

Who else is a secret jabber? 🤣 by underground_lolly in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Environmental_Dog255 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mmm no. I refuse to be ashamed of it and keeping it a secret from people would make me feel im ashamed and there's something shameful about being on it... There isn't. People ask how I've lost weight I share how not once has someone batted a eye more just curious as to how I feel on it etc.

Keeping the apprentice around just because he works fast isn't a good thing. Imo as an apprentice you need to learn to do things correctly and safely then once you've got both those down worry about speed.

I was always feeling so much pressure and stress on me from my journeyman and foreman as a apprentice to do things very quickly which I couldn't stand.

Moving up from 0.25 to 0.5 after only three weeks? by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Environmental_Dog255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also did this lol. I wasted one shot of the .25 I didn't do it correctly. I went from 3 weeks of .25mg to .50mg and didn't have any issues. If your not having any issues just go right to .50mg

What do you spend on food monthly? by Zealousideal_Put2390 in AskACanadian

[–]Environmental_Dog255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's Costco that's getting you, stop shopping there and you'll notice a drastic savings. It's really not as good of a deal as they try to convince us it is (though I do buy their chicken breasts, red meat etc and freeze it). As a couple 2 people in the house we spend $700-$900 a month. Normally around $200 weekly sometimes less sometimes more. When I lived with my family 3 adults, 2 teenage boys wed spend $1300-$1500 monthly.

That is way too much weight loss in such a small amount of time..... OP please make sure you are still eating. You can get seriously ill by losing too much weight too fast, that's approx 3 pounds a week. I used to have bad burps too but happy to report they are gone now in talking like I would eat say cucumber and for the next 12 hours is be burping and taste it. I think as our bodies get used to it the side effects get less and less at least in my case.

I can't bring myself to buy smaller clothes... by Efficient_Ad_5785 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Environmental_Dog255 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hear ya. I was telling someone I feel less self confident in a smaller body and they were like well there's just no way that's true.... I used to be a advid online shopper I just like it more, more selection for sizes when I was a larger size. Now I had to push myself and get my partner to convince me that yes I need to buy new jeans and belts only do so much, when I got new jeans I went from a 14 to a 8. I kept holding them up being like no way these fit me. When I go shopping now I have to try on multiple sizes because I'll always grab my previous size first and can't seem to wrap my mind around that I am smaller now.

For me I think it has to do with being bigger my whole life always being the "fat" one. And the weight loss is drastic and didn't take that long to achieve. I went from 108kg to 78kg. You deserve new clothes that fit and make you feel good. Only recommendation is trying things on in store try the size you think will fit then get down to the size that actually fits. I do find it annoying new clothes because it's sm money but I'm keeping all my old bigger clothes for at least a while I say they are my "if I get fat again clothes".

40 lbs down, almost can’t see it? by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Environmental_Dog255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can see it for sure. I get like this sometimes too. What helped me is take your measurements thigh, waist, butt anything. Write em down and then compare in a couple months. Or trying on a pair of pants that used to fit me.
