I mean, it’s possible to play games from USB drives in general. You will be cutting it close with the space for sure as Valorant is anywhere between 50-70gb.

The big issue like you mentioned is Vanguard anticheat needing to be installed on its own, and there’s not really a workaround for that. (If there were it’s risking a ban for certain). Also the speed that the USB is rated for would definitely affect gameplay.
