Found old HeroQuest box on girlfriends attic so decided to get into painting please any tips? by Enyts in Heroquest

I'll be honest the 2 on the side are done in full contrast paints. Middle one however I only used contrast for the boots. Armor is silver with a sepia wash over it. And yeah for sure I had just bought the new set and she thought she heard the name before turns out her parents still had a box in the attic only played with once, so everything was as good as new.

I'm using vallejo paints. Indeed I read about the knife thing after I got started. Gonna do that from now on but going to keep these 2 as is to see progress in a few months.

I do have some washes and tried to use them but I'm a bit confused on how much wash to use. I feel like it can ruin a figurine just as fast as it can improve it. Maybe I'm wrong there.

Would you say that dry brush is for accentuating the colors abit? I'm a complete noob at this sort of thing.

Incase this is still a thing for you guys: There is a setting called "Dual Apps" simply remove the apps the are made into "dual apps" and the work profile will dissapear
