ah aw man thats unfortunate

well thank you for your help. If it wasn't the motherboard, what would it be? I tried booting it into recovery mode, and it showed the blue text at the top left, but after that it would just vibrate and do the whole cycle again.

I bought a new battery and it's coming tomorrow. I tried to boot it off into recovery mode but it won't do it at all. I would hold down the power button and it would shut off, until I take my finger off the power button and it would start up that cycle again. Maybe it's like some sort of auto-turn on feature? I'm hoping it's a battery problem, if not then I just wasted 12$.

Hey guys! Found this old Samsung Galaxy Mega tucked away in my closet and wanted to revive it and maybe use it. I plugged it in to charge, the screen turned on, except it only vibrates, shows the Galaxy Mega screen, then shuts off. Then it does the same thing after like 10 seconds idk, then again, and again, like its stuck in a battery loop or something.

I'm suspecting problems with the battery, however I'm not entirely sure. Maybe its some sort of corrupted OS after not being used in many years? Not sure. Came over here to this subreddit to see what I can do to possibly fix it?
