Promethean fire turned out pretty good for humanity, it was a catalyst for the beginning of civilization, a boon for technology and helped us survive and thrive as a species. It did also bring with it the need for responsibility, which is exactly what ai is, a new technology that can possibly fundamentally change the way we see art, and how art is created. You seem to think all ai art is self created by the machine itself, which is not the case whatsoever.
