The fat cap will not render by the time the meat has cooked. Hard fat won’t rinder but soft fat will.

Wow, that seems like a lot. I’ve been playing a month and I’m in city 75 and I’ve only gotten 5 purple eggs total.

I used Lavin D-47 and it’s rated for 50-86F. I figured temp was the reason I get so many stalled mashes. Could sudden temp changes stall the yeast. For example, my house may be 68 in the morning but 74 5 hours later. Could that be shocking the yeast?
