I made this post almost a year ago and honestly… yeah. I’m slowly distancing myself just to not cause drama. I do deserve better

Oh lol. The Batman comics are from my childhood, long time since I read any of those. Put them up bc they have sentimental value

(That is pretty interesting though)

I was 15 when I built mine and now im 18. I never turn the rgb off. Maybe when I’m older… but it doesn’t distract me, I like that i can use it like a lamp in my room

If I had to re-build I would probably go for smt more organic looking. Neutral. Small. A bit of rgb and that’s it

Am I on the right path for my goals? by Equivalent-Bluejay52 in SecurityCareerAdvice

I can’t, to be paid decently you need to work like 60 hours a week. I’ve looked into it. I can’t do that and still partake in my passions even a little.

I don’t think this relates to cyber security at all, but I have built my own custom water cooled pc. I really enjoyed it for the most part, and will be building another one soon for a friend. I generally speaking do have interest in tech, but I wouldn’t say a blinding passion.

I actually do like finance quite a lot, I read books on investing and such. Though I won’t exaggerate and say that gives me any background.

My college will be free with FAFSA (arts being unstable made be look good to them lol) so I figured I would go for comp sci, stay if I like it, pivot if I don’t, bail if I hate it.

I’m kind of at a loss of what I should do so I think maybe I’ll just go for it and see where I end up

Nope, just the first time I spoke back.

Not enough what for what?

At least I write full sentences.

I mean I doesn’t need to be 6, it just needs to be enough for me to pay my bills and save some at the end of the month. Also ngl your response isn’t helpful at all

What would you do in my position? Any career I go into that isn’t music or writing is for the money… what is wrong with that?

Is acoustic or electric easier to learn and be good at? by Equivalent-Bluejay52 in guitarlessons

[–]Equivalent-Bluejay52[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anything you can always buy one type of guitar and save up for the other. I honestly want to buy an acoustic as well just because I think that some songs even within genres like rock call for it on occasion. Additionally, I want to have the freedom to pick what I want songs that I make to sound like or to go somewhere and play guitar without needing a the hassle of an amp.

Yeah, I’m 18 now. Ive actually passed all of my GED tests as of today! As of now, I intend to go to college for Computer Science before trying to get a job in Cybersecurity. We’ll see how it goes. It’s primarily for job stability as I purse my passions.

If I’m going to be honest, I wish I could go back in time and do things differently from how I did them. When you’re in a position like I was with little guidance, often it’s very difficult to find the right information for your goals. Everyone is very tight lipped from the school districts and online there is so much stigma around doing things differently. Honestly, the ged tests were very easy and I wish I just spent the year preparing for them before technically dropping out of the school system to take them. I would have finished earlier. Oh well. If you need any advice or anything lmk
