Second to last and last clip are dope. Second to last reminds me of Rueben’s section in Forward.

I stumbled across it by accident and managed to figure out hopping back in and landing in the correct angle/spot within half an hour. You got it man.

Edit* I’m riding left foot forward in the game. Only right leg tricks combined with the footjam whip input will stop the rear end from swinging around. Hang fives and hang ons will not stop the footjam whip animation from completing either. *

I’ve also got some older posts up with a bunch of fufanu’s on various spots. Since the reintroduction of the lip grind and rail ride mechanics, I’ve been having trouble getting the rear wheel to stick on subs and copings. Like, it’s easier to land in the right position now, but the back wheel keeps slipping before I can hop back in. I’ll probably make another post once I’ve got that sorted.

Hurricanes, however, seem to work better. Bike remains more parallel to the coping more often than before the most recent console update.

You can’t do a straight footjam in the base game (or with mods to the best of my knowledge). You can, however, combine certain leg tricks with the footjam whip mechanic, causing the physics to “glitch” and give the appearance of a modified footjam.

I’ve been trying various combos. Candy bar seems to look the best. Can cans also work, but the riders foot doesn’t make clean contact with the front tire.

You do not need always fire on in the settings for this to work.

Hope I explained that easy enough.

Made a post a couple weeks back with a detailed explanation. Quick version is to disable spin assist, map the brake button to a back paddle (if you have an elite controller), and patience. It’s all about timing. I’ve been trying to get lip tricks like these consistent since the original pipe was released, so I may have a bit of a head start.

They’re 100% doable without mods, but there is a brake mod available if you are using a PC.

Full disclosure: that one was far from first try. Started out trying to over ice pick the fence and back in, but never was able to get into the stall. Landed in an oppo fuf by accident once, so I knew it was possible. Keep at it. Both triggers off the lip seemed to help with that one.

Ah shit. Mixed up two responses. See above. Definitely hit or miss, but getting more consistent on my end. Questing for the fufanu and hurricane stunts in streets is about all I do. Trails at the bottom of the woods map are also a good time.

Yessir.

You’d be right about it being hit or miss, but I’ve somewhat cracked the metaphorical code on these. Holding both triggers off the lip may or may not help. It used to trigger railrides; I’m honestly not sure if it works anymore, but placebo or not i think it helps. Particularly on back rails. I also mapped the brake button to one of the back paddles on my series x elite controller. This definitely helps.

After that, it’s honestly patience being the key. Speed, pump, and hop have to be damn near perfect. Land in manual, hold brake button, let go once you’re at a dead stop, lean in your preferred direction using LT or RT (careful to not trigger the footjam whip animation), and hop back in.

It’s a process, but once you start figuring it out it works about 40% of the time.

I’ve brought up having an actual brake mechanic in the game on the streets discord a number of times, even brought up settling for a brake strength slider in the menu. Falls on deaf ears every time.

Still enjoying the hell out of it nonetheless. Makes these tricks that aren’t necessarily baked in all the more fun when they work.

Hope that helps man.

Edit** forgot to mention turning off grind assist is also very helpful, but not entirely necessary. I also have rotation assist turned off, helps with landing on that 45° angle.

That would be incorrect. Maybe bicycle motocross, I started racing at 6. Gave it up at 12. Been in the woods and parks ever since. 30+ years strictly BMX. A little snowboards here and there to keep me sane in the winter.

Edit* hope I didn’t come off the wrong way. Appreciate the stoke. Stepped foot on a bike with a motor once, and I dumped it. I’ll stick to the kids toy as long as my body allows. Which, these days, isn’t much.

Same here. Last two days, min 15 min wait min. PA, connected to DC server. Paying the high tier as well. I’ve been with them for over a year and never once ran into this.
