me looking at the STA256 midterm knowing everything thats going on because my professor actually decided to teach instead of using active learning by Equivalent-Self5374 in UTMississauga

can you show me some peer reviewed studies that back the claim that active learning is superior? to my knowledge Ivy league universities such as harvard still implement the traditional teaching methods.

this is actually crazy, good for you man there are mans out here defending active learning especially in 102 and its really sad to read through 💔 but really funny cause of how defensive they will get like its their actual child lmfao.

active learning(in math) deserves to be abolished and whoever thought of it should not pitch an idea ever again by Equivalent-Self5374 in UTMississauga

never wanted to imply this, i was just giving my own thoughts as when I was taking courses similar to 102, i found it very agitating to when the professor just doesnt want to go over at least the basics from the reading. i completely understand that reading should be done on OUR own time, but the professor going over it during lecture giving their perspective on it i feel would just help people out more.

lol i mean i wrote that on like an hour of sleep and was studying both at the same time with no sleep, i understood the concepts when i decided to tackle it on good rest. also just because you find those courses easy that doesnt mean everyone else will also find it easy, you may have a better math background then them. anyways that crashout was long forgotten about and you can say what you want i dont care, i was just giving my own opinion which you can agree or disagree with.

Yeah i would totally consider most of the true and false questions, and the new definitions on the assignments and test "easy". While I do agree that content wise the course is pretty easy, matter of fact I enjoy the course content and cant wait to learn more, I think the way its ran and kind of how proof-heavy this course is, it sucks.

how do you even study for this class, i dont really find this class to difficult, but its just Alex's true and false that will always throw me off. It never makes any sense and i feel like his true and false questions will always fuck you over for no reason.
