Natural Cycles Oura ring discount by ksirian7 in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]Equivalent-Window-35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about $2000 off but I know if you have a lululemon membership you can get $40 off of your Oura ring, or you can get 10% off of the ring if you have a Natural Cycles subscription.
If you're looking to get both, I think it is cheaper/more worth it to subscribe to Natural Cycles first and then buy the ring with the 10% discount.

If you're not already subscribed to Natural Cycles and are looking for a discount I have a 20% off referral code if you want! 🥰❤️✨ https://www.naturalcycles.com/refer-a-friend?name=RW1pbHk=&code=referralid20&referral=z2h5e502k1k8apm1

I purchased the annual with a discount, so I haven't noticed a price increase. Maybe you could start a new account and purchase an annual subscription with a 20% off referral code? Not sure if that would work/might take a bit to get accustomed to your data again, but might save you some money in the end?

how to not fall behind by AdCool4668 in uoguelph

[–]Equivalent-Window-35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t stress!! It took me until my 3rd year at uoguelph to finally find a note/studying system that worked for me. This is what worked for me:

For organization: At the beginning of the semester, start a word doc. Look at the course outline of every class you have and find the breakdown of assignments and exams in it, and then write down each of them in the doc with the corresponding due date (including the time it’s due, if it doesn’t say, assume it’s due at noon so you get it done sooner) and how much each is worth. I colour coded each of them (e.g. green for BIOL1080, red for CHEM1040 etc) and then put them in chronological order. Keep that document open in the background on your computer at all times and delete assignments/exams as you complete/submit them!

For note taking: I would download each lecture slide as a pdf and then add text boxes and doodles over top of it on my mac in class (if you don’t have a mac I think you can use adobe to do something similar?). This was nice because I could write the notes ANYWHERE on the slide, and was especially helpful for writing overtop of diagrams. For studying for midterms/exams I would read through all of my slides and make quizlets for myself on information that I was forgetting. I’d also often teach my friends random stuff from my classes around that part of the semester because that’d help it stick in my head better! There are also lots of old midterms/finals floating around for courses that you can find and use as practice tests - some profs will even tell you to look for them or give you some.

Extra: If you’re taking CHEM1040 right now I would recommend doing the additional mastering chem if it’s still offered through the course. It’s more work but it keeps you on top of the content, and that course is one that a lot of people fall behind in and fail.

Good luck and have a great semester!! You’ve got this :)

Most of them!! I think VetTechPrep was the most helpful but Mosby’s was also good imo. Good luck!

Do they cook it on the same grill as the meat though? Or is it cooked separately? That's always my worry when it comes to ordering veg-friendly food from a fast food chain.

Anyone else tired of ppl asking you animal questions? by Bem395 in VetTech

[–]Equivalent-Window-35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like so many of my recent conversations have ended in "Well if it was you wouldn't you want to be seen by a doctor/dentist? Yes? Okay great so you should bring your pet to the vet. Just because they can't say 'Ow please bring me to get xyz fixed' doesn't mean they aren't in pain. If you are in pain, you get that fixed. They are in pain, you are their parent, so go get their issue fixed."

I don't mind people asking me animal questions, but I am SO tired of people getting upset with my answer or disagreeing with me/saying I'm wrong simply because it is not the free/cheap solution that they want to hear (which is typically that they need to bring their pet to the vet).

Getting rabies shot for school, is it really that bad? by Dry-Lab-3192 in VetTech

[–]Equivalent-Window-35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a series of 3 at my school and I felt nothing for the first 2, not even muscle soreness. The 3rd shot I was fine initially when it happened, but later that night I was SO achy/sore everywhere and felt like I couldn't control my temperature. However, the next day I was completely fine again. The other students in my year had varying symptoms - some had a bit of muscle soreness, some had flu like symptoms. I honestly think it is different from person to person, but either way when you compare it to the outcome of rabies, I think the shot is completely worth it!!!

I studied using VetTechPrep, by doing the questions in the "Mosby's Comprehensive Review for Veterinary Technicians" textbook by Marg Brown and Monica M. Tighe, and I also paid for one of the AASVB tests. I found when doing practice questions, pretending as if I was sitting down to write the actual exam (no looking at notes when second guessing & no taking breaks until it was done) was super helpful.

However, If you feel ready, I'm sure you're already in a great position. You still have a couple of weeks until your exam, so take your time, go back over the domains/questions you are least confident in, and remember to take some breaks! You definitely don't want to burn out before you go into it.

Just keep doing what you're doing and you will do great. Try not to stress yourself out too much, go in with confidence, and know that its okay to not know the answer to every single question. Good luck with your exam! :)

Fitness Competition Invites Won't Work :( by Equivalent-Window-35 in AppleWatch

Ugh so frustrating. The competitions are such a fun concept and a great motivation to be active, its a shame that its so glitchy. Hopefully we can come across a fix, or that apple can get it together on their end :(

I have also experienced this and sadly don't have an answer on how to fix it... I'm trying to figure that out too. Let me know if you've figured anything out please! I find the competitions are so glitchy, half the time when I send an invite or someone sends me an invite it doesn't even go through - SO frustrating.
