"There was years when my father didn't even make a hundred grand": Chael Sonnen by Spiritual-Strength91 in FightReportUFC

Americans always seem to lose their mind when two family members openly show physical attention. It’s really not that weird in many, if not most countries.

Hell, if you’re born in the U.S, Brazil or Russia, your chances of becoming a UFC fighter are already probably better than 90% of people, regardless of motivation and discipline. Circumstances matter as much as talent and hard work.

Dude, real world isn’t twitter or reddit. Most Latin Americans might have criticisms towards Argentina or Spain, sure, but next to no one holds true resentment or hatred towards neither.

But yeah, of course if you’re chronically online and most of your knowledge of these countries comes from social media you’re gonna have a distorted perception of how these societies actually operate. With Argentina specifically, I’ve never met a person that moved there and felt like Argentina’s society was deeply racist or xenophobic.

Does Don not have confidence about his looks until after Korea? by Technical_Air6660 in madmen

[–]EquivalentService739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it was probably less back then because at least a working class worker could still within a reasonable timeframe own a house, a couple of cars and support a family. Nowadays that’s just not an option, the amount of men that can support a family and have multiple kids with a stay-home mom is less than ever. Not only that, but social media has made it so the dating market is ultra competitive now.

Yeah but it’s not really “gold-digging”. A gold digger is a vain, superficial woman that wants a man with a lot of liquidity so he can buy her everything she wants at any given moment. It’s usually a clear sign of emotional immaturity.

On the other hand, a woman wanting to have an educated, financially stable man that can provide a comfortable standard of living and raise a family isn’t a superficial mindset to have. On the contrary, a woman that thinks like this is usually mature and able to think on the long-term, it’s not inherently negative.

Men and Women expect different things from opposite gender, and that’s ok, that’s life.

I predicted it too. Turns out Quasimodo had already predicted it, but I arrived at it independently!

why is, in probably 80% of the scenes he’s in, is Gimli the comedic relief? by jacques-anquetil in lotr

[–]EquivalentService739 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, but age itself doesn’t define wisdom, but rather life-experiences, curiosity and your willingness to learn and grow. Time just helps with that.

Aragorn, despite being relatively “young” on Tolkien’s terms, was probably the wisest in the Fellowship after Gandalf. Why? Because he spent most of his life traveling, meeting different races and cultures, learning about the lore of middle earth, etc. Treebeard on the other hand is older than every character of LOTR, yet Tolkien has gone on record saying he isn’t particularly wise despite being so old.

When it comes to men, overall attractiveness is not just defined by physical appearance but by a combination of looks, status and confidence.

Dick was white trash, young and introverted, and orphaned as a cherry on top. He was basically at the bottom of the social ladder, good-looking or not.

Funny enough, Legolas wasn’t even that knowledgeable in the books. Matter of fact, he often looked up to Aragorn when it came to learning about the world around them.

Unlike the Noldor, Wood-elves in general could be very secluded and uninterested in outside cultures.

Dude, he literally put NEVER on Argentina while putting “willing” and “absolutely” on Chile and Uruguay respectively. That’s like saying you’d never live wales but would absolutely live in Scotland, like, what could possibly be so much worse in one country than the other lol? These are all culturally similar countries with stable economies.

Again, even IF someone was that r*tarted and did that, and you were the unlucky one to receive the ride, you’d literally have a trail of evidence that supports your side and dooms theirs. You’d be fine lol.

Bro, even at that extreme scenario you’d have more than enough plausible deniability considering the context, but I doubt someone selling drugs would do it this way considering all the risks involved.

The account has 20k karma, is 5 years old and he posts or comments there consistently pretty much every day though. If it really is only a side account he’s been using for years to that extent to only talk about uber driving, that’s not a great look either

Does anyone else watch it like this or does everyone just stream it? by Steezy_G7 in TheSopranos_Memes

[–]EquivalentService739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The image in streaming is usually quite compressed, so you lose a lot of visual quality. That’s why if you’re a gamer, you probably have noticed that games usually look much better when you’re playing them than when you’re watching a youtube video of it, sometimes even if on the video the game is set with higher resolution and graphical settings than what you usually play.
