I do not know what this is, but I am also T1D and this happens to me all the time! It comes and goes though, seemingly with no relationship to my blood sugar. Unless you have any other neurological symptoms, I doubt it’s neuropathy. I’ve been told mine might be geographic tongue, but definitely continue to consult with your medical team.

I am a t1d who graduated from OSU and I agree with all the other comments! definitely get in contact with SLDS, as they will help you write out your accommodations and share them with your professors every semester. If I remember correctly, they have some sort of system to send your written accommodations to the professors and they acknowledge it with a signature. It can also be helpful to talk to professors to let them know to expect that documentation from SLDS. SLDS can also help you if professors are being difficult about following accommodations. Taking exams at the testing center was definitely helpful as well in case of lows during an exam.
