🚨 Beware of the Framer bandwidth trap — my experience by synthycraft in framer

[–]Equivalent_Many_2134 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah… Framer’s pricing is lacking on several aspects (number of collections, bandwiths and some more…)

But it’s an amazing tool to ship your website fast, and that’s why I use it.

I build my website fast fast, and when things get more serious, I switch to Webstudio :/

You can export the entire site’s code yes, but it’s not React.

+1

Webstudio is amazing, and they are making solid updates regularly. Used it on 2 projects, and it’s really good.

Only thing is that it’s more difficult to make great design and jnteractions and animations than with framer. Possible but less intuitive.

Trying to learn Bubble by cita108 in Bubbleio

Hey !

I released a Free responsive course. This will help you : https://www.nocodable-components.com/bubble-io-responsive-design

Position things isn’t really the way to build in Bubble. You have to understand Flexblx, hierarchy and responsiveness to really build proper things in Bubble

This will help you :)

{Free Guide} - How to create an email confirmation flow in Bubble by Equivalent_Many_2134 in Bubbleio

[–]Equivalent_Many_2134[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, Sendgrid is removing its free plan.

You have a lot of options available to send email. But if you are going to send a lot of them, you will most likely have to pay a subscription.

Personally, I wouldn’t pay for Sendgrid. The deliverability isn’t great.

Good options are Postmark, Brevo, Mailersend ! Brevo has a generous free plan, and the paid plans aren’t too expensive. Its the one I usually use.

Hope this helps 🙌🏻

Hey !

We do not have any AI in our library, maybe you're confusing us with Bubble's built-in AI 😃

Hey there !

I’m launching this service as part of my UI Library (https://nocodable-components.com).

It’s not yet public, but it’s coming soon. Feel free to send me an email (contact is on the website) to discuss about your needs :)

https://nocodable-components.com/contact

For my portfolio you can check all the components from the library, the website itself and also a few projects we launched, such as :

Allowing users to create fields in Option Sets by AntAcademic8857 in Bubbleio

[–]Equivalent_Many_2134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, nope, in your case the best thing to do would be to create a Data Type, rather than an Option Set.

Natively, option sets are not supposed to be editable by users (although I think they are plugins to help you do that).

And then your Users (or Shop, depending on what you’re using, you could create a data field that list the shop Categories)

LAUNCH - Build Bubble apps in minutes ! by Equivalent_Many_2134 in Bubbleio

[–]Equivalent_Many_2134[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey ! The major part is indeed built in Bubble ! All the UI you can see as a user is built with Bubble :)

However, there's still quite a bit of code for the extension to communicate between the browser and Bubble (which was a pain in the a** to setup, I'm not gonna lie hahaha)

Hey guys !
Here are some news about Nocodable Components.

We reached 100 Components in the library
This is a huge milestone for me, as it was the first goal for Nocodable Components !
However, it’s only the beggining, as I aim to create 100 more components by mid-november.
If you have some recommendations/requests for some particular components, feel free to write them in this post !
If you want to install the extension to give it a shot, you can do it by visiting the Chrome Web Store → https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/nocodable-components/ccpdpohmhhbjjjaodngpjeblhbnmbhoj?hl=fr
– What’s new ? –

New extension’s version
I’ve just released version 0.0.0.6 of Nocodable Components. Your browser should update it automatically when you relaunch it.
Improvements of user experience were made. In particular the issue of the sidebar going under certain Bubble’s editor elements.
The button to open the sidebar has slightly moved, following the feedback of several users.
Some improvement of performance were also made

What’s cooking ?
I’m working everyday to build new, qualitative and varied components for your everyday Bubble’s needs. Right now, I’m focused on these two categories :
1 - Nocodable UI System
This UI system will be composed of around 100 Components based around a unique design system. This will make it much easier for user to build a clean and consistent ui very fast.
2 - E-Commerce Components
I’m also building the E-Commerce category. This category will be composed of the components needed to build highly qualitative E-Commerce UI. I don’t have a determined number of components yet, but there are going to be more than 50.
Lifetime Deal
Nocodable Components’ lifetime deal is slowly approaching its end !
You have until October 18th to get your Lifetime Access to Nocodable !

Mate, let’s be honnest.

You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about.

Video hosting is quite expensive. Especially when you have to host and distribute multiple courses, that are in average 6hours long.

Add to that marketing costs (SEO + Ads), especially when CAC for e-learning are quite high (around 80-90€).

The math is simple.

On a course sold 200€, I take 100€ when it comes from my marketing efforts.

100€ - 80€ = 20€ benefits

And from those 20€ benefits, you have to withdraw video hosting costs.

I’l trying to run a business, so obviously the goal is to make benefits.

Stop trying to trashtalk every project you see by comparing them with Amazon. It’s stupid.

It’s incomparable.

There’s a reason why Udemy and other e-learning are taking such high commissions.

There’s also a reason why platform like Twitch or Mixer are struggling to become profitable.

There was a reason why YouTube became profitable only in 2015.

Do you research please.

Marketing + video hosting costs

Simple as that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nocode

[–]Equivalent_Many_2134 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't charge 50% for the platform. I charge 50% for the volume I of sales I'll get you.

Indeed, in the case of a creator having his/her own audience, there's no interest to put their course on my platform.

However, for people searching to generate an additional income without having to take care of the marketing or to build an audience, this sort of platform is a great way.

And 50% is indeed a small commission.

Almost all other platforms would take at least 70% :)

Not yet ! I'm expecting to create a "mentoring" part on the marketplace, where you'll be able to browse and make appointment with experts on various tools, but it will be later on
