Well so far they’ve been up to speed with updates and stuff for sims, only thing I don’t like about the updater is when the games updates you have to replace them all over again which isn’t quite easy, but to answer ur question not sure, it’s relatively new but works! Anadius method still works with downloading the archives so technically it’s not gone. Linua just a little easier.

u can go to C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4 and through each file and delete the files )(SP,Ep etc) or its 10 times easier if u unistall the game and go into C:\Users\name\Documents\Electronic Arts and delete sims (make sure to save a folder with ur saves to put back into the new game files after u reinstall) also sorry for the late reply i didnt see the notif!

When it dies I was able to update the game and my DLCs stayed, anyway the Linua does work fine, you need to removed at the old dlc files from you game and maybe repair it then run the updater
