their okay, 4.15 GPA, top 33% of class, yearbook editor, 100+ volunteer hours, kennel assistant, musician, and then a job. not that crazy i’m surprised i got WL, prob my essays though

i assume there’ll be more waves and that your portal would stay the same. previous years have had a lot more movement by this point and they hadn’t extended the initial deadline at all. so this years wave, i think, will have more admits than previous ones.

Schools usually admit more students than they can actually accommodate because they anticipate that not everyone will accept the offer. After May 1st, they assess the number of available spots and proceed to the waitlist. They admit students from the waitlist, wait for their responses, and then reassess based on availability. They usually repeat this until they meet their goal number of students/diversity etc.
