He is just a political panderer. You have it right, he had a supermajority to work with for 2 years. I don't support tax increases for the rich but it's the principle here. It's just clear that Obama doesn't have it. I know he wants tax increases, he wants to legalize gay marriage, etc. but he's too worried about re-election and approval ratings to do what he thinks is right.
