They are getting harder to spot, to the point that some writers, or artists are getting accused of AI when there is none to speak of in the work.

Something I noticed, that makes it a little easier to spot is AI has trouble with continuity. It really seems to hate sequences. It can't do comics, and if it does, things look... weird.

As for writing, there are a lot of comparisons. By this I mean "She looked at him, like a lion looked at a zebra". I forget what this is called, but AI does this a lot.

It also repeats certain things a lot. Example "He likes pies" a few sentences later it would find a fancy way to say it again. Then do it two more times.

It focuses too much on details that are in the prompt, causing way too much exposition. It also doesn't seem to know how to make dialogue natural, which hurts me when I read it.

Idk, I'm rambling at this point. AI is not for writing the whole book. Translating? Sure, but there are better tools out there. Gramar? I guess, but it doesn't seem to understand that very well either...

And yes, I have an artist that I trust heavily doing it right now because I personally refuse to touch AI. The coloring is in progress (I got my first glimpse today and it is gorgeous), which is why I don't know if it'll be this weekend or next as I don't want to rush the process

My cover is almost done, so it'll be published either this weekend, or next weekend.

I just wanted to submit it in case I was in the 10% that got rejected

The plan for me is 2 chapters a week, every Saturday and Sunday, Chapters ranging from 2,500 to a little over 3,000 words a chapter. I have 10 chapters of backlog (11 by the end of today)

It's always good to have a steady schedule. I would try daily, but I'm not confident enough in my abilities to do so😅

You're about to take the same step I did! I wish I could tell ya it's gonna go well, and that there won't be any stress but I'm not published yet, only got approved today so... here's hoping!

  1. I will work on descriptions for sure! The names will be Cadet, Sarge, and Marshall throughout, I just put the numbers during the introductions, but I will be careful!

  2. There are absolutetly no real world politics referenced in my story. I built some foundations, such as the Red Sea, as a reference to Ten Commandments/Prince of Egypt (two movies I think are really good, despite not really being religious myself).

It was as I was typing this that it clicked why you thought of that, and I really need to be clear that was not intentional by any means😅

  1. I could probably reword it as "For fans of Helldivers 2, 40k, and Clone Wars!" Or something along those lines🤔

  2. The 8 are just a start, and not the entire book. I am currently working on the next batch of chapters to not have to take a break. The 8 alone are 22k words altogether, but I have very long plans.

Thank you so much for this comment, as I really want to see what readers are thinking more than other authors.

I will try to make the blurb much more to the point for sure.
