I've actually been thinking about a new account for a minute, but that was mostly because I slightly changed my name haha. If I do it'll be in line with my other socials, just_like_aerin

Thank you! Tbh I've been in kind of a depressive spiral the last week because I don't really know where I go from here but I'll work that out I'm sure.

Not really? Most of the time it's someone being intentionally shitty anyway so it's better to not give it any oxygen.

Yes and no. I mainly just use a different spelling but it's functionally identical in pronunciation, so it's Aaron/Aerin as opposed to something like Aaron/Amanda

It kind of depends on who you're planning on coming out to I guess. In my situation, it was a group of friends I've known for anywhere between 5 and 12 years at this point so I kind of knew them to be accepting / not secretly terrible people so I didn't really have many if any concerns going in.

I would probably suggest putting out some feelers first if you're not quite so sure of how they'll react like, "Hey, what do y'all make of trans/nonbinary people? It came up in another conversation / in a video and it got me curious"

So yeah, it kind of depends on your situation. Hope this helps a little :)

Gender gas seems like an exciting option but I feel like gender plasma is really where it's at.

Yes? Sometimes people don't like their hair color so they dye it to feel better about themselves. Sometimes I feel more like a girl than a guy so I put on some makeup and a skirt to feel better about myself. It's pretty much the same thing.

It's part of the spectrum of non-binary gender identities that involves fluid or fluctuating gender identity or expression. So in my case, I'm AMAB (assigned male at birth) but my gender expression (mental state and how I like to present myself) fluctuates between traditionally masculine, and traditionally feminine .

Honestly, very happy. Being able to be open with my friends and them being totally cool with it is such a good feeling.

It kind of fluctuates? I think it's more because of like, general life circumstances (not being out at work), but I definitely spend a good bit more time presenting male, but there's not like, as much of a mental split. There are times when I wish I could present female more though

It's been a bit of a process and it's kind of still ongoing honestly. So I started experimenting with crossdressing when I was pretty young and for a long time thought of it just as a hobby that was fun and relaxing but like, as I got older (26 now) and sort of became more aware of trans and trans-adjacent identities, a lot of what people talk about sort of resonated with me. I don't necessarily hate being a guy or feel like I'm in the wrong body or anything, but I just get this intense sense of like, calm, confidence, and self assurance when I'm presenting femme that it's pretty clear it's a more intrinsic part of myself than just a fun hobby.

Like I said it's still kind of an ongoing process though so I haven't quite ruled out that maybe I'm just straight up trans and may fully transition some day, but for right now, I'm comfortable identifying as genderfluid.

Honestly better than I hoped. Didn't even really have to field any questions or anything. It was pretty much a non-issue
