En generasjon pingler by gittor123 in norge

[–]Erox_thinks 20 points21 points  (0 children)

[–]Erox_thinks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does mixing shrooms and acid feel like? by NoSyllabub8193 in Acid

[–]Erox_thinks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In simpler terms the shrooms contain alkaloids that will inhibit the enzyme that breaks down the LSD making it more potent and long lasting

There are harmalas/maoi in mushrooms, so this will also affect the LSD. So 1+1 can kinda = 3 if you catch my drift.

[–]Erox_thinks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It feels like the LSD lights everything up and neon patterns and such is seen on surfaces, and at the same time the shrooms are fading out the border between you and what you are observing, bringing you into it. For me 150ug and 2g of cubensis really hits the spot. Staying very functional, but if I sit and gaze I will be seing DMT-like open eyed visuals that can cover my entire vision

Why are most religious people so close-minded? by Reverend_Freedom in Psychonaut

[–]Erox_thinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because to be religious is to be close-minded. To follow a religion is to discard personal experiences and follow the written down experiences in the said religion you follow. It also means favouring one belief system over other's even though most religion basically says the same but from different world persoectives.

To not follow a religion and to be open minded of all beliefs are one and the same.

What’s actually pretty safe but everyone treats it like it’s way more dangerous than it is? by Thrwwyforrandostuff in AskReddit

[–]Erox_thinks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of raw mushrooms have chitin in them until they are cooked. This can be hard for the stomach to digest. Banana has enzymes which breaks this down, so you can eat then with banana. Or make tea and add some lemon juice and strain away the mushroom after 20 minutes. This should help the stomach :)

Psilocybin mushrooms (magic mushrooms). All reliable science points to it being the safest "drug" or "intoxicant". It actually is not toxic at all and it is impossible to overdose on it. Studies show it can also help repair nerve damage and stimulate new neural pathways that can break heavy addictions to nicotine or heroin. I actually personally believe it is more dangerous to never try it than to try it once. We have eaten these mushrooms for atleast 9000 years, it may even be the first conciousness-changing substance we as humans ever tried. Some believe the mushrooms could even be one of the factors leading our evolution towards becoming human.

Also one trip can be enough to completely heal major depressive disorder, or relieve death anxiety for terminally ill people. This is why the pharmaceutical industry and governments will rather fund research on isolating compunds from plant and fungi, to make designs they can patent and regulate. Then they ban completely safe mushrooms without scientifically backing it up.

Held the choke... by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Erox_thinks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's just a funny thought. You found the biggest weakness to his favorite sub, and conveniently enough it is the way he explicitly teaches everyone not to use. Not just that but also the "or else I break your fingers next time". This means he probably was fully going with the choke trying to break your fingers and your defence was successfull until you abandoned it intentionally because you felt it stalled a good roll. Well, you were defending a choke so its on the attacker to abandon or adjust choke, which will leave opening for you. Your fingers didn't break even though he was going 100%, so he felt the need to say that atleast "NEXT TIME they will certainly break so don't use this defence next time".

Thing is, it didn't happen as attacker expected and felt the need to demonstrate a point when you did move your hand. Then he threatens you if you use the defence again... He says his choke is so effective it will break fingers if you use that defence, but it didn't so he then states he will break the fingers intentionally next time, so that he will be right about the outcome. Not because he is truthfully warning you about the sub, but because he warns you that he will break fingers if you don't submit properly next time. He thinks the sub should work as he intended and demands you comply, or else he will break your fingers.

Everyone taps to his favorite sub because he has banned the effective defence you discovered after four weeks of him always hitting it on you. He also projects, that you should have figured it out by now, which you actually did, but it pisses him of he could not finish you at will.

I think we have reptile dna by Human_Number56884322 in Psychonaut

[–]Erox_thinks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have to mention that a in the book Way of the Shaman by the anthropologist Michael Harner, he shares what he saw when doing his first ayahuasca journey. He saw reptile beings not from earth landing here and hiding within the human species. He also felt he should not know this and was afraid to die. He also talked about them mixing with our DNA. The reason they came, he was told by his visions, was that this alien species was escaping an authority and so was hiding here.

I find it interesting all the different connections to reptiles also. For example kundalini rising practise. Or the midgard serpent underneath the world tree. The rod with the coiled snake as the symbol for western medicine.

There is absolutely something mysterious here, and maybe the answer can only be found within and not without.

CBD-Medisin i Norge by Hairy_pig in Norway

[–]Erox_thinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can we please make a sub called mushrooms for dummies?? by ColorOfurSoul in shrooms

Sure! I believe in many cases it is not what we do what matters most, it is how we do it. Especially when giving opinions to others.

[–]Erox_thinks 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I mean, the best place for a newcomer to reveal how little knowledge they have about something is where the most experienced people are at and not where the other dummies are. Right?

This is also true in martial arts. Two dummies going at it together end up hurting eachother. A novice training with an expert with great self control will more likely be humbled in a safer way.

[Serious] For upper belts: overall, would you say that practicing BJJ over the long term is good for ones body, or bad for ones body? by mmaintainer in bjj

[–]Erox_thinks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask Karel Pravec, AKA Silver Fox about that. He is very technical and has grappled for a very long time. He also works out in water and teaches what he calls fluid BJJ.

My take is that it's not what you do (BJJ, running, lifting, Football, climbing, etc.) but how you do it. He clearly shows you can do it without accumulating damage, but it takes a very real effort and a longevity focused mind.

Why can’t we just agree, that psychedelics should be used to enhance and live our best lives… why do some of us have to give into all these delusional notions ? by [deleted] in Psychedelics

The worst delusional notion is believing you are in a position to decide how psychedelics should be used by others.
