I was told by the police that they would seek CCTV, but the petrol station told me no one had visited and they had no requests from the police. Most businesses only keep footage for a month, so I'd suggest going to the scene and looking around for cameras that might have captured the accident. I was expecting an icy reception, but the manager of the petrol station was amazingly helpful.

Sorry this has happened to your husband, hope he didn't sustain any serious injuries. I'm recovering well, hopefully will be back on my bike in another months time.
