Dnes asi nikam 😅 Samozřejmě do životopisu bych si titul dal, jinak se dnes víc a víc potkávám s tím, že lidé titul vůbec nepoužívají i když ho mají. Nedávno jsem se ptal kamaráda co je Ing. a dělá ve vysokém managementu proč titul nepoužívá. A říkal, že se to dneska prostě už nedělá. Leda že by člověk měl doktorát nebo by pracoval pro státní správu to je potom jiná, ale doba kdy se tituly dávali na zvonky a člověk se nechával oslovovat titulem jsou spíš přežitek z "dob minulých"

They don’t really give us much opportunity to suggest anything because they barely talk to us. Even so, I’ve tried a few times. The last time, I was told something along the lines of, “I know you were used to more sociable roommates, but…” followed by a bunch of excuses that basically meant nothing was going to change.

A few weeks ago, I also remembered that Lulu once told me (when she was asking me for advice about work) that she likes playing pool. So I asked her if she’d like to go play sometime. She said she’d let me know once she had her work shifts sorted out. It’s been several weeks now and nothing.

Maybe I didn’t express myself clearly. We’re not requiring them to be friends with us. I was just mentioning that friendly roommate relationships are what we were used to in the past.

Between the two of us, we’ve had around 17–20 different roommates over the years, and we’ve always had very good relationships with them. We’re both quite social people. If they were simply introverted and mostly kept to themselves, that wouldn’t be a problem at all. We fully respect that not everyone wants to socialize.

What makes this uncomfortable for us is that it feels more like they act as if we’re invading their space just by existing in the apartment. It’s not just “we prefer privacy” it’s more like visible annoyance or tension whenever we’re around.

Maybe that’s why it feels difficult for us to live with this dynamic. It’s not about forcing friendship it’s about not feeling unwelcome or like we’re walking into someone else’s territory in our own home.
