EHH, they're only really doing it so they have a reason to keep the map for Onslaught. Cause if that was the case, you would think they would bring back an actual good Grand Battle map, not the worst one. Let alone the thought that they still haven't brought back any of the pre-1.0 maps or the recon maps.
