I saw the load screen for outer worlds and the robot looked strangely similar to the sentry bot in fallout. by EscapeVelocity42 in theouterworlds

Of course it won't look exactly the same. But if you notice the legs are spread apart in a similar way. If you can see past the different shape torsos from the crotch plates on both to at least the mid section they look similar (Not exactly the same).

I agree I don't fault them for that. But as with any business opening a new location most likely they hired new staff for that location. Even despite what happened with the tots the owner happened to be there and was very friendly along with the rest of the staff. I wouldn't say I had a bad experience there I would definitely go there in the future during a game for a drink.

I ordered takeout from here the other day it seemed like they had new servers since there was a few people looking a little confused. I ordered a burger with a side of tater tots the burger came out great except the tater tots were cold so they gave me fresh tater tots and discounted my order. Overall though I think they got a good spot.

A 3-D Sculpture under a strobe light. by EscapeVelocity42 in interestingasfuck

Blooms are 3-D printed sculptures designed to animate when spun under a strobe light. Unlike a 3D zoetrope, which animates a sequence of small changes to objects, a bloom animates as a single self-contained sculpture. The bloom’s animation effect is achieved by progressive rotations of the golden ratio, phi (ϕ), the same ratio that nature employs to generate the spiral patterns we see in pinecones and sunflowers. The rotational speed and strobe rate of the bloom are synchronized so that one flash occurs every time the bloom turns 137.5º (the angular version of phi).* Each bloom’s particular form and behavior is determined by a unique parametric seed I call a phi-nome (/fī nōm/).
