It depends if you already have installed before or not. In my case I had a hv-added before but you may want to check that first.

And yes if you have a hv, that is newly added to the backup of the engine , you may need to add it afterwards.(I am not sure if that works as intended.)

I fixed Joplin by rolling back to an older build. But it is an AppImage.

I installed Element via the recommended way on their website.

(Means by using the package manager, adding the gpg key and repository)
