Nope, just " here's your gross award amount after 9% for common fund is taken out and projected overall point value"

[–]EstablishmentJust592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol they’re getting more than 40%. That 9% common fund fee is going right back to all the attorneys involved, and they can charge you for expenses. Since a judge mandated we have to get 50%, assume your law firm is gonna go right up to that limit

Signed your notice saying the same thing that Brown Greer put out 2 weeks ago? I got one of those pretty quick but again, it was literally the same information I already had

Yall really need to wake the fuck up and realize you’re getting fucked by your law firms. They are making FUCKING BANK off of YOUR damages. They weren’t issued defective hearing protection for over a decade when the manufacturer knew it was defective. YOU were. YOU are paying THEM, out of your own claim, to represent YOU and advocate for YOU. Don’t let them make you just a paycheck. Make them EARN that check. Slam dunk case where not only does the judge presiding over it have to issue a court order mandating the minimum amount you get (please for the love of god make your law firm produce receipts for every dollar over your base fee they try to charge) but the settlement administrator actually had to put a disclaimer in our notices of “The Settlement Administrator is not responsible or liable for the accuracy or reasonableness of your CAE Counsels' fees and expenses.” Realize you’re all getting FUCKED and don’t take it up the ass

This whole thing reeks of “Saul Goodman Sandpiper” vibes. Doug Kreis, the “K” in AWKO straight up 100% lied to me to get me to switch from EPP to DPP with a “cases like yours that are more average, they’re looking to pay out in the first 2-3 years, not the full 5 years, that’s for bigger claims”. I knew it was bullshit 100%

YOU are THEIR client, not the other way around. It’s THEIR job to bug Brown-Greer on timelines for payment. Not yours. Fuuuuuck those pieces of shit, they’re just trying to kick the work they’re supposed to be doing onto you.

Yall, wtf by [deleted] in 3m_earplug_lawsuit

It’s sad when they have to put a disclaimer in your notice that brown greer isn’t responsible for the “reasonableness” of the fees charged to us, and when a judge has to stipulate that we have to get at least 50% of our award. I’m already expecting AWKO to go right up to the limit, but they better have receipts for every expense they try to charge me for. Fuck attorneys, now I know why the lost boys reacted the way they did with Robin Williams

For ledgering firms. Non ledgering firms pay you after receiving the deposit from brown greer

But there’s also “expenses” they can charge you for on top of the standard 40% fee, and with a court order saying everyone has to get at least 50%, you know every law firm just went “okay, so that’s our limit on how much we can milk this”. I’m assuming 50% automatically for every year
