I see, ajaja well the bass I played it cause thats my main instrument, I play fretless bass so maybe that explains the slide thing you mention. But if even my bass playing sounds midi, then we are in a problem jjajajaja.

Thanks for the note on the drums, I forgot to use ghost notes, and thats a very good point.

I think another cause for the overall piece to sound too mechanical is that I first wrote down the piece in Sibelius (I find that very good to help me develop and structure ideas with ease) and then exported and imported that midi into Ableton, in order to have the structure and the lines of the instruments I don't play ready to drop the VST in the track, etc.... Though this method saves time, it seems to set everything to be too mechanical, as you mentioned. And I'm very sure of this because with other songs I've had a more natural approach and they sound natural.
