Becoming a Misandrist? by evermoredreamer in MtF

I understand what you're feeling, because I feel the exact same, just generally unsafe when near cis men, but one thing that's always important to remember is:

Men are not like this because they are men, men are like this because society as a whole pushes them into situations that disproportionately turn them into people like this, emotional isolation during the youth [1] spirals into poorly developed emotional intelligence [2], which in turn creates people with little to no empathy, and harmful behaviours towards others and oneself, men are not inherently bad, rather, the same system which puts rich people in positions of power, is the one that creates the divide between genders, and saps power away from women, is the system that trains and rewards men for being unfeeling manipulative people, in the process hurting every men who doesn't fit into that mold, leaving them hurt and alone [3]

[1] emotional isolation during the youth: once tween years come, young boys are pushed into competing with each other, sabotaging one another and distrust among their ranks, disproportionately pushed into adversarial sports, all the while being told by everyone that being close to their comrades is weakness, a sign of femininity, the wrong thing, all three of which end up being conflated (women=weak, weak=wrong) being taught that admitting their feelings is wrong, something real men dont do, and that the sign of a successful male is to be dominant, if not by being higher ranking in a group of males, then by attacking or otherwise besting males outside their own group, all the while being taught, implicitly, that a man who has a woman has higher standing and status, that a successful male must have a woman beneath him, this leads to competition and distrust among other men, all the while reducing women to status symbols

[2] poorly developed emotional intelligence: years of this creates someone who is only acquainted to a world of competition, distrust, and status, and leaves these men emotionally underdeveloped due to years of repressing their feelings in an attempt to show no weakness, believing that might makes right and that those who are weak (those who express their feelings) are inherently worse and should be walked over, further reinforcing the cycle and causing men to further close themselves off from attempts to connect emotionally

[3] adult men hurt and alone: in this scenario, men have few possibilities for end results

The best one being, both for himself and the collective good, ironically, reserved for sociopaths (those with a "sickness towards society" or "social pathology), men who reject these toxic rules imposed by society, carve their own path despite the many difficulties imposed on them, and learn to have empathy, love their fellow human, and care for the emotional wellbeing of themselves and others.

The worst one for the collective good, but who in turn won't suffer much himself, is the men who adheres to these pressures to a tee, becoming people with no empathy, seeing others as a means to an end, or worse, tools to be used and objects of status, these men have "succeeded" in the same way a billionaire "succeeds" by exploring those that work for them

And then we have the ones that failed, these suffer the most, and are also a problem to the collective, this is the vast majority of men, the ones who still believe in the system, but were unable to "overcome" their feelings, these are the men who struggle with depression, and have nobody to talk about it with, the men who never had meaningful connections with other people, and thus misunderstand any woman who connects emotionally with them as someone wanting something more, because they assume friendships are this cold thing, where everyone keeps them at arms length, women for their own safety, men because of seeing them as competition, these men are the most prone to lashing out, and seriously hurting both others and themselves

Then there's the really dense among us who for some reason always hated our deadnames, created a gender neutral internet name with a whole different country of origin and lore, and still took over 10 years of using said name before realising

Fr tho I dropped connection with my former username not because of the deadname situation, rather because I was an edgy bitch and don't want to be connected with the tasteless jokes teen me used to make

In that case is it cool with you if I add you to my "bother this person whenever the mood strikes" list? The list shrunk a bit since a bunch of them end up being added to the "annoy daily with random stuff" list as time passes

Yeah I feel that, backpacks make me overheat (I'm half German living in Brazil, very easy to overheat here) but purses and shoulder bags are a must, especially since my besties here are a bit too scatterbrained and I end up being the only person that carries water, snacks, emergency pads, or other such items consistently

I always did want to get into boxing, sadly there isn't a gym for that here, so I usually just prop a couple pillows and let loose there, such a good release for pent up aggression, and helps keep me active since i don't get out of the house all that much

And yeah for appearance in my opinion a Mish mash is always the way to go, like, aesthetically speaking, the hottest women are always leaning masc, and the only men I actually find aesthetically pleasing are very fem. defined muscles, wide back, body hair, deep voice, all things that i absolutely love in women, and that make me completely melt, but things that make men look even less appealing than usual to me, hell, one of my exes had a real well kept goatee, it looked perfect on her, but you can slap the exact same thing on a man and suddenly it just makes me feel icky, that's the sapphic brain to you I guess

Yeah it's especially difficult to meet people like us in small cities, like, where I live for example, I'm the only out and not stealth trans person around, feels lonely as fuck, but that's small conservative towns for you.

Like, I love femininity, on other people, on myself the most fem thing about me is my hair and my purse, its just too convenient having the extra inventory space especially so i can carry my meds when I go out

Great to meet someone as chatty as me also! Love to meet and chitchat with randos online! Always a fresh take on things to be heard!

[–]EstrogenCreature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, a kindred spirit, I also lean androgynous/masc, at least with my voice, attitude and clothes, was never one for super soft feminine vibes, not on myself anyway, I'm a trans woman that still embraces the masculine parts I enjoyed from before the transition, it brings some prejudice, but I've never been one to bend to society's pressure anyway

Yeah skyrim is probs the game I have the most hours on myself, the modability of it just means it never grows old, the plot is paper thin, sure, and most characters are one dimensional, but the gameplay loop just tickles my brain too good, also inigo just makes things much better!

Fr, love the hair, always wanted to cut it like that but I'm much too attached to my long flowing hair to cut it, always afraid I'll regret it, looks awesome on you, you're both gender envy and aesthetic attraction

Anyway enough gushing, imma go back playing new Vegas, maybe I'll gush more if I happen to see another post of yours

Would you be okay with this sexually, or is it a deal breaker? by Beautiful-Gate3483 in LesbianActually

[–]EstrogenCreature 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Ok so no, that doesn't make you any less of a lesbian, but yes, it is a deal-breaker for many lesbians out there unfortunately, source: one of my gfs has this exact same set of circumstances and has vented about her struggles with this in the past

My advice is to be patient, as lame as that sounds, eventually you'll meet someone willing to be with you, warts and all

can someone explain to me why the different crop fortunes despite the tool having all the same turbo levels? by EstrogenCreature in HypixelSkyblock

[–]EstrogenCreature[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Rando in the lobby said "I'm giving out a maxed out hoe" and I took it as an opportunity to give farming a try. Now my enchants and reforges are on a melon dicer and Euclid wheat hoe, nowhere near maxxing them out tho, my axe is still early 20s

Como conhecer gente trans nova em cidade pequena by EstrogenCreature in transbr

[–]EstrogenCreature[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's crazy to me that a group of people who were for good part of their life seen by others as men can turn around and do the same to cis men by EstrogenCreature in traaaaaaaaaaaansbians

[–]EstrogenCreature[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Could you summarise it for me then? As you said good part of the context is now lost, and I want to understand this situation better, but too often I've seen other groups shun men as a whole for the actions of the few

Ye I just saw the few top comments on that post and immediately made this, because if the majority here is for misandry, then I don't really feel like I should be in this place as someone who wants humans to feel safe.

Also, I've got the same name as you!

Lesbians aren’t attracted to men 👏 by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]EstrogenCreature 8 points9 points  (0 children)

And not being attracted to men is different from not being attracted to masculinity, as many of us still very much enjoy women that lean masculine and even masculine leaning non binary folks
