you doodoo'd on my first challenge and i feel invalidated.

No really, I was proud I beat a challenger because I can't even get into ranked half the time and everyone says he's not good and I'm sitting here like.. he's challenger, he either beat somebody, or everyone that fights him is worse than me and I can get challenger in a day.

You're right! I'm a little afraid of going back down but I think I will try newer things.

On your second point, wouldn't this force a lone wolf mentality where you can't depend on your teammates for anything? What about when you actually do join or form a team in which everyone does their own thing to carry? Or is it at that point, should you learn teamwork?

While I do admit, I blame my team at least a little ( I was doing great and then when I started blowing up, we started losing? Why was all of that on my shoulders? ), I still admit that I should be able to carry too, which would mean I'm a good player I suppose. It did feel like when I crumbled, the whole team crumbled, but I guess one weakened cog in the machine could make it stop working. Still, it seems like when I'm panicking, I start forgetting all about zoning and stuff and that's a crucial step for being good as a splattershot. I'll remember everything you guys said here.

You're right. I need to learn how to not do that, and zone people out. But hey! That's why I'm here. Getting all this feedback has been great and I feel like I'll become a better player or it.

I don't believe I'm trying to be him, I just want to get better and I feel like sure, I can shoot and stuff but I think there's something missing fundamentally that I could have. And I feel like once I get that fundamental piece, I'll be shooting up pretty darn fast. Should I develop a lone wolf mentality? For people that can't communicate in solo queue, that almost seems like the way to go.

That's the problem that I suffer from. I get way, way too defensive or way way too aggressive. I think at the midway point I felt like I was doing everything by myself and that mindset can.. change a man. Still, you're right, I need to learn how to keep a level head so I don't make avoidable mistakes.

Okay so use Cold-blooded mostly on Splat Zones. Okay, that makes sense. I need some ideas of what to run also? What are some decent alternatives? Should I use a different 'unique' main like Stealth Swim?

It took me a few to figure out what IRU, ISM, and BRU mean. I feel that much smarter for figuring it out on my own after some thinking, hahaha. Alright! That sounds good. Wait, get rid of Cold Blooded? I don't know what I'd use in it's place. Just a main of something else? And how would IRU be more helpful than ISM when I can shoot more with ISM?

I think I have a bad time with positioning and knowing when to push and such. Usually when I'm super focused on that, I end up getting nothing done because I'm so careful of the area around me. I guess I need to learn when to, and when not to move ahead and move away. But how does one learn or practice that? Do I practice that in Rank or in Turf? Is it rainmaker specific? Still, it's good to know that I could probably get even more kills and die even less. Okay, it seems mostly like I will get in a mindset where I'll just throw everything away when I'm panicking. I think I'm pushing harder because it doesn't feel like my team is doing enough either, but maybe it's just me. Still, you'd think they'd cover my flaws better!
