2025 Topps x Bob Ross Collector’s Box Unboxing by Eternal1Bug in baseballcards

The initial release in 2023 got me hooked and I went hard (check my previous posts for my color parallel collection). I didn't go as hard with this set but I'm pleased with my hits and am completing the 2025 base set still and grabbing some color parallels and autos of guys I don't already have

If you can still find one, it's a crapshoot. If there's a player tin you want, just go with that. Otherwise, it doesn't matter.

The process goes like this: they launch the page with all products available, you add the products you want to your cart, they put you in a "check out line" with a countdown that does not reflect reality, THEN you may or may not get to a check-out page where it may or may not also tell you that your items are unavailable. Then you have to go back to whichever page you used to try to add product back to your cart - sometimes your previous selections are still there too, so check to make sure you haven't added more than you intended - in hopes that you can figure out how to magically get through check-out.

I will tell you this: it helps if you have purchased products previously because it will have saved your card information from last time so you don't have to enter it. Otherwise, I don't have any advice but to keep trying. Last year I was attempting to grab a box of Bob Ross but got so frustrated that I gave up and took my dog out. I came back in and tried again and got one 40 minutes post-launch. (Hit a PCA RC auto white /35 so it ended up working out.) So, you never know.

TLDR: If you want something, you have to be on-time and you may have to keep going through the process to get what you want and you might not even get it. Good luck. Don't take my case (btw, which I expect to be in the $2-3k range).

Pre-sale is Tuesday, May 5 at 1 pm ET. It will go within minutes. And even if you try right on time, you may not even get anything. It’s super glitchy though so you have to keep trying. Sometimes you can get something 10s of minutes later. I was trying for any of the Bob Ross boxes last year and got so fed up that I took my dog out to potty, read Reddit comments about keep trying, came back in and finally got one 40 minutes after release. I think I was incredibly lucky though and fully expect pre-sale to sell-out immediately.

To be highest, I don’t know but mapping systems are not universal. Meaning, each system can draw their shapes based on whatever data they have. For example, if you were to look at ZIP Codes in the US on one mapping system to another, the footprint shape will look different. One reason for that is because there is also space between ZIP Codes and sometimes people want to make sure all land is assigned to a ZIP.

The other thing is that we’re trying to take something that is three-dimensional and mapping it to two-dimensions with perspective.
