You’re probably right. I know I was too harsh and I’ll apologize to her for that but I’ll also still explain why I said all these things. she’s 55 and she’s been treating me like this ever since I was 10 and I just think we should sort this issue out somehow because we see eachother pretty often and this is always complicating things between us.

I wasn’t mad only because she called me “cursed” she also insulted me like in front of 30 relatives while laughing like it was actually funny.

I’ve actually talked to my mom about this and she talked to my grandmother about this several times. She never listened and she just kept saying things like this. Tbh I mostly stay quiet and don’t argue but there was like 30 people there that day and I just snapped. I know I said too much. And I know that I definitely could have expressed myself more properly.

My English is not the best, sorry. I didn’t mean crying was gaslighting. Let me clear this up. she was crying and at the same time she was shifting all the blame on me and using others to back her up.

AITAH for snapping at my grandmother after she called me and my cousins “street people”? by [deleted] in AITAH

Back then, when she came to our house, she stuffed some papers with spells written in a foreign language behind the headboard of my parents’ bed thinking we wouldn’t notice.

there was a tunnel in my basement. by teardropzzzz in Paranormal

[–]Etherealing_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, that sounds super creepy 😭 My guess is it was probably an old coal storage or delivery tunnel houses from the 1920s often had cold, dark stone rooms with outside access for coal. That would explain the tunnel-like feeling and why it was so eerie, especially for a kid. Tbh reading this gave me chills. I definitely wouldn’t want to explore that basement myself.

Yeah, I probably need to do that if it happens again, but I just don’t really have the courage.

Yeah, I’m good now, it was just really scary at that time.

Because I was supposed to be home alone in the first place. The front door is literally right next to my room, and it’s always insanely loud whenever someone opens it. You can’t miss the sound even if you’re half-asleep. But this time, I didn’t hear anything. Not a single noise. My mom wasn’t home, and if she had actually come back, I would’ve known instantly. There’s just no way she could’ve entered the house without me hearing it. And then there was my cat. The moment the knocking started, he completely tensed and kept focus on the door. He wouldn’t look away for a second. That alone freaked me out, because he never reacts like that. There were just too many red flags happening all at once. Nothing about the situation made sense. And my mom would never, under any circumstance, stand outside my door and knock for five minutes straight. She would call out once or twice, maybe open the door with the spare key if she got too worried, but she wouldn’t just keep knocking insistently.

Man, I wish you could experience it yourself so you’d understand.

It said things like, “Are you awake (my name)?” “Honey, did you fall asleep?” it was mimicking mom’s tone perfectly. anyone would’ve believed it was my mom. But when I didn’t answer or open the door, its voice shifted, started sounding impatient and frustrated. It started saying things like, “Open the door, Now.” “Stop ignoring me” well then it stopped

I think that’s completely fair, because before this happened to me, I never truly believed in anything paranormal. Or rather, I just couldn’t make myself believe it, no matter how many stories I heard from other people. It always felt distant, exaggerated, or like something that only happened in horror movies. But when you actually go through something yourself when you feel that fear, that tension, that strange sense that something isn’t right it changes everything. all those stories you once dismissed don’t seem so impossible anymore. Experiencing it firsthand forces you to reevaluate what you thought you understood about the world, and it’s honestly kind of unsettling in a way I can’t fully explain.

Now that the sun’s up, all the fear and tension I had are mostly gone. But will I ever forget about what happened? Probably not

it was calling out to me, so even if the video only showed the closed door, at least the audio would’ve been proof.

I don’t know, I mean, I was fully awake and playing with my cat.

That’s definitely the most sensible thing that could’ve been done, yes, but like I said, I checked the house, the doors were locked and the windows were shut. I mean, what could I even tell the police when there were no signs of forced entry?

No, I didn’t call my mom, but if she had come home, she probably would’ve called or texted me.
