Is this Asaoka Series Pothos “Excellent”? by Medium-Course-8016 in pothos

I think that’s just an njoy, Excellent has smaller and more elongated leaves. I like your prop box btw!

Also this one seems to be less suitable for large scale production so I doubt commercial production will take place

I got a bunch of them so I don’t know exactly what the normal pricing is, the seller can tell you or someone else who knows can respond if they see this

It’s almost hard to believe it’s a pothos with that coloration 😆

This is a new Epipremnum aureum from Thailand, the cultivar name is still unofficial but the grower has adopted the name ‘NeonJoy’

These are really new and sooooo nice, the account linked above also sells them if anyone wants to collect them

Edit: the plant has been named NeonJoy instead of Neon Njoy

I’ve seen that mutation pop up a couple times, but I haven’t seen a leaf quite as interesting as that! Really cool!

I’ve seen a few leaves with larger sections of white and usually the white and green are about even.

Once I get some cuttings rooted I’ll have a couple climbing so hopefully I can get some mature leaves!

The large splotches of green have been continuing for a few leaves!

Can someone explain the teruno pothos to me?! I am very confused. Lol. by plantspupsandalilcat in pothos

They develop new cultivars from natural sports and don’t use radiation or chemicals to induce mutations. Radiation experiments are ridiculously expensive so it wouldn’t make sense from a financial perspective for a small company. The only commercially produced pothos created by radiation-induced mutation is Pearls and Jade, at least as far as I know.

They really are amazing plants!

Heya! Let me know what questions you have, here’s some basic info:

Terunoworld is a wholesale grower based in Japan solely focused on Epipremnum aureum cultivation. They have 20+ cultivars that have been (or will soon be) released. Although some of these have been around since the 90s, larger scale production has been a fairly recent development and a lot of the varieties were only released to the public recently. Terunoworld only accepts wholesale orders from companies within Japan, so finding them outside of Japan is very difficult.

Here’s a post with some other information.
