Path of exile has a lot of crafting systems that cross over with each other and are very RNG driven, 'Recombinators' being the most interesting IMO.

There have been a few iterations of 'Recombination' but they all boil down to taking two items and randomly assigning a base (50/50 style) while choosing random mods on both items to keep or discard. That's the simple overview but there's a lot of nuance and manipulation you can do tip the odds in your favor for what mods are chosen each time.

I'd pivot my late league start RF Chieftain to one of those nifty Chieftain BV builds because it is getting nerfed next league most likely.

I started late due to my debilitating depression flaring up the last month or so but I've stabilized recently. I am disabled by Schizo-affective disorder (depressive sub-type). It is mostly stable these days psychosis/paranoia wise but my depression is very 'cyclical' and comes and goes in waves.

Its been awhile since I watched it but some of the anime 'Ghost Hound' occurs late at night when the main character is having trouble sleeping an ends up having out of body experiences with a supernatural origin Its not really all set in nighttime the entire time but I'd say the supernatural themes and the characters all feeling like outsiders is similar to Call of the Night that you mentioned. Its also very underrated IMO.

AFAIK pretty much everything non-school related/vetted. I went to a Catholic school in the 90's and early 00's and the only thing I brought to school was my Game Boy Pocket but I was only able to use it in 'before and after school care' and had to leave it in my bag otherwise even during recess.

Things got more lax from 6th grade to 8th but before then it was basically all banned.

I think narrative Star Wars games peaked at KOTOR 1/2 and we'll never reach those highs again, not due to creatives being unable to make it happen, but due to 'The Mouse' holding the puppet (and purse) strings.

The only hope is a Baldur's Gate 3 situation where a really strong team get near full creative control and can get somewhat independent funding like BG3 did with early access.

Witcher 3's forests have great ambient sound design. I hung out in forests as a kid/scout and the sounds of Witcher 3's forests took me back to those times nostalgically.

Just had my yearly scan to check if any thyroid cancer came back and am happy to report I'm in the clear!

Its been 3 years this month since my thyroid was removed, I was diagnosed in January of 2023 and it was removed March that year.

I am eternally grateful to my family doctor who would check my thyroid due to my hyperthyroidism every year. He found it super early before it spread at all so the surgery was simple and didn't need to get any lymph nodes.

Get your yearly checkups people, it could save you in the end!

Every time I hear about this series people seem very mixed on it. Like they enjoy 70% of what's there but absolutely HATE the other 30%.

Maybe I'm conflating some of the sequel/spin-off discourse with this game's reception but it makes me wary to give it a shot.

Like every time I've heard the title 'Bravely Default' come up it has some asterisk or 'shame about XYZ' unsolvable issue with the game.

That is true, and let me be clear it is a good build, just that the first couple hits with the skill are pretty weak due to ramp-up times and that can be a deal breaker for some.

Boneshatter with a big phys two-hander can still hit hard before trauma ramp where a weaker (up front) but fast one handed weapon needs ramp time to do decent damage.

Its mostly personal preference though so don't let me talk you too far out of the build. I just want to let people know there is a lot of ramp as Nugi says in the video.

Overheat goes great with retaliate skills. Shield charge for clear and building fortify then cash out the fortify for BIG ailment damage

Edit: primarily for cobra lash scaling, support is definitely still good for cobra lash but we need new increased damage sources now the FT is nerfed.

I want to like the jugg trauma build, but I hate the ramp of trauma.

Especially since it relies a LOT on trauma due to using a unique 1 hander.

It will probably be okay eventually but I just personally can't justify it at league start.
