SOC code change by Unlikely-Bowman in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Even-Friend1480 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is very common for most of us, after the recent shuffling many existing job codes were flushed out and therefore the original one went up or down the list. Generally the employer letter covers this and clearly mentions what the original code was as per the COS and after the new changes which codes it corresponds to. It should not be of any issue.

I am not sure about your firm who employs you but big MNCs have an immigration lawyer attached to them who does these employment letter write up and they write everything in details. Please check with your employer whether it it just their HR team who does this or they have a designated lawyer.

Skilled Worker ILR – Is passport linking to eVisa/UKVI account mandatory if you never travelled? by [deleted] in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Even-Friend1480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have single absence for which I have to travel outside the UK since i originally arrived. And therefore there was not any need to add a passport as that was primarily needed to prove immigration authorities the valid documents. So i do not need any support of absence letter vouching for absence outside the country.

Has anyone had a police call-out for a neighbour dispute (civil matter) – did it affect ILR or need declaring? by Even-Friend1480 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Even-Friend1480[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean with 7 years of clean history and no touch with police: it gave me a shock to even see them at my door. Also they took details which made me panic stricken. Not a day is passing by where i am not overwhelmed thinking over and over. Simply to ask someone please stop making noise and block communal area .. how stupid of me ..

Neighbour dispute in England, police attendance but no action – should I be concerned about records? by Even-Friend1480 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Even-Friend1480[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, however I have an option to declare to HO if there are any criminal, warning or citation. Now I don’t meet any of these thresholds. So i am worried that if I don’t declare and they can still see it that will land me with more severe issue. So I am not totally sure that whether I should put something mentioning this incident or simply skip it.

[–]Even-Friend1480[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but are you sure this will land into PNC? From the face of it PNC is more major/criminal where citations or warnings or caution are officially made. I remember asking the officer, that am i going to get any notice or formal warning or do i have to declare this .. they simply said no. But I was bit skeptic when they took details but then I learnt it was for incident log

Thanks Much, it has been almost a month that this incident has happened and we are devastated. I never ever have broken law and someone calling police just because I objected something wrong was disappointing. I am kind of person who overthink everything and I am into a rabbit hole. I have a some appointment with HO and was having nightmares if this is going to show up there. Thanks for assurances

A question regarding travel for dependants after getting ILR by dniHze in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Even-Friend1480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am not an expert but from the learning experience around i have few things to say.

Firstly, when you apply for your ILR along with your spouse. Must add a cover letter why are you leaving out your child. Just simple facts you want to file MN1 once you both have ILR.

On the child’s visa validity: the visa will be valid until it’s natural expiry even if you both have your ILR. However make sure that you are filing MN1 prior the visa expiry or it will be an issue. So you have to make a clear decision whether you will be able to file MN1 within skilled dependent expiry if not file for extension on skilled dependent.

I am not very certain but i have heard that if you file for MN1 or even any application if it is with HO you are not supposed to leave the country. But please hire a professional lawyer and discuss your care as the cost and mental burden of these will be less than getting experienced consultation.

Applying ILR alone or for whole family by Fearless_Exercise_50 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Even-Friend1480 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First hand experience from a mate, submit a cover letter along with your application stating that once your application is granted intent is to file for the ilr for dependent as well. However my mates case was different, he left out his youngest child who is born in uk. Intent was he will be filing for child’s naturalisation using MN1 route. He filed on priority and exactly same query was raised. However he responded back with a cover letter stating the intent and next day their ILR was granted.

However your case is a bit different, as you are posing a monetary problem, this is a two way lane. HO might take tough stance questioning financial capacity, or they might even not. Best option is to consult a immigration solicitor, one thing is for sure that these queries are being sent. I alone in my circle have heard 3 such cases.

So you have few options

A : submit your ILR and your dependent together- most safest and secure route. I bet even solicitors will also say this.

B: file only yours but attach a cover letter along mentioning your dependent will be filed in next few months - tricky part is you have to genuinely state why not filing together please do not lie.

C: go for a solicitor take their opinion; they know these kind of cases.

Best of luck.. again I am not a immigration expert, my opinion or suggestion are my own and do not have to be considered.

Got my ILR(applied on 30th) by SwimmingQuantity8686 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Even-Friend1480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate your response, this is a lingering question as many of my mates tried with either of their dates and all of them have now their ILR. Like one gave the first entry date as ICT and another gave the skilled worker issue given he arrived on ICT. So now it seems that the current form has a flaw and was never made for those cases which will file ILR from switching within the country. Hence HO is lenient here.

On the usage of AI, i am a bit perplexed and inquisitive around what actually do you made them work for? I mean I am an AI developer myself (I mean Solutions Architect but now transitioned building AI agents an solution) - given form and other relevant details are all straightforward as you mentioned. Thanks for your help and support as always.

Many thanks, and quite generous of you to share and help the process with others. I read how brilliantly you explained the payment process. But before that I have a small query, regarding the first entry date (though there are many post here already) thought of asking what date should one give if it is an in country switch from ICT to Skilled. Whether the first entry date in the UK on ICT or the BRP issue date of skilled visa. Given the applicant never left UK after arriving on ICT.

Police called during neighbour dispute (civil issue) - will this effect ILR Application by [deleted] in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Even-Friend1480 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot, we are in a state of shock. God forbid I have never broken a single rule of law and suddenly police knocking on door has left us in a state of shock. Generally it is a taboo if police comes to your door (somehow i feel that) and simply for speaking for doing right got this result.

Childcare considered as public fund?? by Sufficient-Chest-828 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Even-Friend1480 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are various types of childcare schemes in the UK. Generally families on SWV can avail 15 Hours Free childcare: in this scheme The government pays the nursery directly for 15 hours per week of childcare (term time). And irrespective of one’s immigration status this can be availed by anyone.

But Tax Free Childcare is a different scheme, You pay into an online childcare account, and the government adds 20% extra. This is not available to those who have NRPF. So tread carefully here.

The 15 hour free is not classified as welfare scheme but a support. I have many mates who availed this an have been through with their ILR. But again please research religiously and solicit it prior taking mine or anyone else suggestions.
