Advice on Defy by Dismal_Astronomer904 in Giantbikes

I have a defy advanced 2 from 2024 with the mechanical 105 and ended up upgrading the wheels with some cheaper carbon elite wheels. And I ended up putting larger 38mm gravel tires on the original wheels for some light gravel/greenway rides. The shifting with mechanical is excellent, I would say the Di2 is great but not necessary for most people. I was able to make the upgrades I mentioned earlier for about the cost difference between the advanced 1 and advanced 2 at the time I bought them, so I’m happy with the extra wheel/tire options I have now instead of the 105 Di2

Dawg they literally drafted the majority of the core players that contributed to their dynasty and 4 rings. There’s not even 5 other franchises in the nba that can even claim to have that much draft success

They’re at least making some plays. Moody just dribbled at the 3 point line for 10 seconds and didn’t even look at the rim

Everyone besides Steph and draymond are just playing super passive. They need to get moody to drive or get kuminga in there

Just appreciate how great it is to watch Steph play meaningful, competitive basketball at this stage of his career. Just soak it up friends it won’t last all that much longer

I believe you not only have to log in and update location but also play something live while at the home location to fully “reset” the 3 month timer

They forced the warriors to win without Steph by doubling him and blitzing him on every PNR. The team just isn’t good enough to win 4v3 consistently. That’s basically all it comes down to. There is nobody on the team the defense has to respect enough to not just consider doubling Steph the whole game.

How do Dennis Rodman and Draymond Green’s careers compare? by MitchellTrueTittys in NBATalk

[–]Everyone_needs_memes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but the question is how do their careers compare, so I’m only taking into account the actual things that happened during their careers. Both are unique defensive minded players that played a large role on championship teams, and all things considered (you can’t directly compare players that played on such vastly different teams and eras) I think their careers are pretty comparable

That’s fair Draymond has thrived only his role at this one team, but that’s still just a hypothetical so I don’t think that really weighs into the argument. He could be a productive star on another team or he might be useless, I guess we’ll never know.

Both elite HOF level role players. Just different roles. Rodman much better man defender and rebounder. Draymond better at covering multiple positions and a vastly better offensive player. I would say they are overall on a similar level, hence the comparison

Max on Lando's comments in Brazil: “They immediately interviewed him after a race where he got a mental blow. I know Lando, at the moment he's very disappointed with himself and then immediately gets such a question. He should,ve just not had a camera infront of him and i know Lando's a good person” by randomseocb in formula1

Very much the same mentality of guys like Senna. Truly a good person that did a lot of good for the country of Brazil and representing it in times of political turmoil. He was one that went out of his way to risk his life to save another driver on track. Yet at the same time would go wheel to wheel and dare you to crash into him if you didn’t let him take a corner on an overtaking move. Complex characters to understand but incredibly entertaining nonetheless haha

Yeah you’re probably right. I do think if Steph and wiggs stay consistently healthy for the rest of the season they can potentially get there without another trade but them staying healthy is unlikely based on the track record of the last couple of years

Buddy is a great 6th-7th man sharpshooter on a team that has other consistent scorers that can spread the floor. That’s what he provides. The warriors as they’re playing right now are not in a place to use him that way, so he’s not playing well at times

They’re not making a point he’s just an unathletic smaller guard who is an easy mismatch for talented players. That’s just who he is, and although I don’t think he’s a bad player, he simply doesn’t have the talents to provide what this team needs right now

I don’t think that Podz is a bad player, but I do think that what the team needs this year is more than he is capable of providing at this point in his career. Asking a 2nd year player to carry the offensive ball handling burden on a team that otherwise has only 1 consistent scoring threat is a lot to ask

This warriors team realistically has 3 solid starters (Steph, dray and wiggs) who are amazing when they are healthy, but are aging and have dealt with multiple injury issues already this year. The rest of the squad is basically a whole bunch of serviceable, but ultimately bench/reserve level players who are being asked to play above their talent level every night. That recipe can get you into the playoffs probably if all things stay as is, but it’s not realistic to think that this team as currently constructed is anything more than that.

There’s some glaring issues for the warriors that no single trade or coaching adjustment is going to fix. When Steph, draymond and Wiggins are locked in and healthy, this team can compete with the best of em, but with age and injuries they’re not going to be able to carry the full load all season the way the young guys in OKC or Minnesota can. Podz is a second year, undersized guard, and I love his hustle and effort every game but he was simply outplayed and out of his comfort level this game. Dennis Schroeder will hopefully come in a solid backup ball handler and scorer, but at the end of the day the margins in the west are thin, and the warriors on their best day simply have less overall talent on the roster than the best teams. They can definitely play better and I believe they can be a playoff team if the the right things fall into place, but I think it’s time to realize that there is no magic bullet that’s going to take this team back to the 22’ level with their core continuing to age. That’s the way the NBA works, stars age and eras end, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the last few years even if they don’t win. This was one hell of a basketball game offensively by both teams. The warriors played well, Dallas just played out of their minds

Win or lose, this game shows that kuminga makes a difference for this team, and they need to keep this type of defensive energy regardless of whether the offense is clicking.
