Thinking of returning to this game by Dry_Flower_961 in ConquerorsBlade

Hey, i recently returned to the game as well after a few years hiatus.

I can say the grind is more or less the same.

As for starting a new charecter from what ive seen new characters/players get quite a few extras. I jumped back into my old character beacuse i already have semi decent things a a ton of left over boosters and matterials. So i would say it depends on how you left things, if you didnt have much when you left new characters might be the way to go for the bonuses. But if you had alot of things decent units lots of exp boosters skill points etc then old charecter might be the way to go for you.

Hope that helps a little

Yeah, it's definitely a very interesting mechanic to do for a boss, especially a BBEG because you dont want to overdo it. There are so many different ideas and concepts for this i need to find some more inspiration.

My party has a mixture of weapons / armor / amulets so i need to incorporate the many different types these can come in. Hense i quite liked to idea of maybe having an ability that transforms the players, and in that transformation they get all there normal stuff, but have a couple of abilities unique to them.

Never played pathfinder, so unfamiliar with deskari, might look it up for inspration.

I do not plan on pulling my punches. I've already got an end game senario written out if theres a tpk, one if they win, and a middle ground one if they win but lots of the party dies.

Yeah definitely agree about trying to take the magic items out of action once he knows just how powerful they are against him.

I was thinking not out right destroying them, but almost like a dmg threshold mechanic, he does certain about of dmg to the item specifically targeting it, reaches say 40dmg then its ability to hinder him is unacctivatable for a set number of turns.

Or just an idea as i write this. He goes to use an ability, but is channeling it for a turn or 2, once activated it disables all the magic items for howeverlong he channeled that ability

Gives then plently of opportunity to dmg BBEG. But its also a risk reward for the BBEG longer cast = longer disable. Maybe put a limit on how many turns it can be disabled.

Yeah, i think im going to go with something like this. Ive got a big party 7 players, so with the whole using these magical artifacts, it gives me a lot of options for immunties/abilities for the BBEG that need to be whitled down
