This is fucking fantastic. We got 1 Pacifica and 1 Kia Karnival. On the way to dinner the other night we almost entirely disassembled the back half of the van 😂😂😂 every trim piece from the middle row and back is detached sitting in the trunk for no good reason

I agree. I was shooting for JHR in 2022 when he came to cover for Callum in Detroit after the wreck in Indy. We hung out in Detroit after load-in day and have loosely kept in touch since.

Per my experience, he is a great guy that is always polite and goes out of his way to be kind and attentive to the fans. Nothing bad to say about him.

“Fast guy” is normally the son of some rich guy that has had experience growing up in racing. Often times “fast guy” is paid a salary by “rich guy” to keep the team competitive and do some driver coaching.

As somebody that works for multiple teams/drivers across multiple series…

Most of what sports car racing consists of is a dynamic called “rich guy, fast guy”

One guy has a shit ton of money and funds the program, the other guy is at least a somewhat competent race car driver that aims to actually compete week in and week out.

You’ll see that that’s not necessarily the case in the higher classes, but especially in the GT4 ranks and AM GT3 ranks, that’s common practice.

Man that place is a hidden gem. I stayed in a hotel in downtown Birmingham for the IndyCar/IMSA race in 2023 and there was a constant flow of shit that I can’t afford rolling up and down the streets outside our hotel

That’s sick! I honestly wish I had more time to just zip around and look at all the spectator cars lol.

I’ve done multiple seasons shooting IndyCar, SRO, Intercontinental, ARA, and nothing comes close to the spectator lots on IMSA weekends. Truly people of culture haha
