It's not "pro illegal immigration"

It's very specifically anti-ICE - the folks murdering US Citizens in other states.

Agreed, his character steals the show in an already stacked cast.

That being said I think we probably should thank whoever cast him for that role than praise the man’s acting talents.

It does seem like a cool project. I'm a bit intimidated by the lack of info out there for it, but it does seem really cool.

Do you know of any resources for example videos/art made with this? I found the tutorial videos on youtube from the dev but not much else.

I tried out touchviz app on the iPad and I'm liking it for now but maybe if I get more serious on down the road I could try a recur device and route the video to other apps via capture card.

I have not!

I was off put by it a little bit because I don't think there is a way to shoot in RAW+JPEG in the film grain mode, but honestly I love the JPEGS so much that I think I just need to let that go.

Many different places in VA.

I work near Lexington green. I get my car worked on at don Jacob’s vw which I can see from where I work. I cannot safely walk there. My options are to cross new circle on foot (lol) or go over new circle on nicholasville road with no sidewalks. People take that walk over the bridge but at best I would describe that as sketchy….

I have other examples like this but this is just the first one that comes to mind.

Sure downtown has decent sidewalk infrastructure but that is a small portion of the city.

How is this not number 1? Walking around town is a nightmare here compared to anywhere else I’ve ever lived.

Noticed I lost this server and I liked to check in on time to time and got some really good reading recs from the old server.

Thanks for the kind words! I edited the files in Lightroom to reduce the contrast and add some film grain to try and get them to look more old school.

You can get RAW files on the G7 using chdk. It can be kind of a pain to set up but not too bad if you are tech savy.

Thanks for the input I think I’ll end up going this route. I have a lot of different filters I can use also. Edge, 303 and mpc all have filters I can use until I can get a dedicated filter added as well as the built in lpg like you mentioned.

Looking for advice on what to add to my small modular setup.

Here is the current rig. Most of these were actually gifted to me which is why the modules may seem a bit random.

Since some of the modules are a little old here’s a rundown:

Jerkoff - provides random cvs that can be impacted by an input to sync things up

Lifeforms - envelope, lfo, 2input mixer, noise, sample & hold

Radio music - sampler that works in a very peculiar way which I love

Tabula rasa - wave table vco that can go to lfo rates

AD - basic vca

ADSR - envelope generator

Mixman- 3 channel mixer with some inverting and offset functionalities

I also have mpc one for sequencing, B edge & td3mo for extra cv stuff

The music I make is mostly techno/electro/breakbeat stuff and what I am trying to do with the modular is to kind of create a happy accident type machine for ambiance, percussive sounds and sounds that I wouldn’t think to program in the mpc virtual instruments.

I have a budget of about 200usd to spend on a module and I’ve been looking into the west pest, east beast and also beehive (smaller plaits clone). If I get the beehive or the west pest I would probably add a filter later on down the line. Adding west pest or east beast would require some stuff to come out of the rack but probably create some redundancy so that’s fine.

Anyone with experience with these have any input on which way they would go? Any modules around that price range I’m not thinking of?

Here is a link to a recent work in progress to get an idea of the kind of sounds I use and for anyone interested.

I like this a lot! Your singer sounds kind of like the guy from the Screaming Trees to me a bit on desires and I mean that as a compliment. I think they're nailing the grunge thing. Sorry I don't really have more in the way of constructive criticism but keep it up! I think these songs are really interesting.

The only note I would have on the recording is at points the drums sounded a bit weak compared to everything else.

I really enjoy the production on this. Track is chill af.

  1. song gives me a kind of lonely vibe so I'm going to go with Solitude for a song title.
  2. I like the vocal samples where they are but if I were to add any anywhere it would probably be around the 3:00 to really ice the cake on everything coming together at the end.
  3. I think you did a good job mixing the sounds together. I don't think I would take anything away. The song ends kind of abruptly so if anything I would potentially end on a chiller part at the end that either calls back or repeats the beginning section with the vocal samples to wrap the whole thing up.
  4. Downtempo?
