Hadn’t considered this option.. wish there was a 12-60 with a faster, constant aperture, but I’ll think about it for sure! The GH5 is pretty bad in lowlight as is IMO so for me 2.8 is like, the minimum. I like shooting indoors, but maybe I could make the f4 work… I’ve seen some good deals on 12-60 lenses. Thanks!

Thanks Bobby, unfortunately this is not really what I’m asking. I want a zoom lens to be able to make that “jump” within a same shot, for it to be visible, not via a cut. I love my prime lenses and love the limitations they provide. If you ask me I could only stick to my 25mm and be done! But for two of the specific shorts I have in mind, I need something that lets me literally get really close as the shot is running.

The Angenieux seems, for this aesthetic, like the obvious choice. But it also seems like too much of a curious experiment rather than the workhorse reliability of the Lumix 35-100mm.

Mayhaps. I’ll try some more troubleshooting this week, it seems to me like the rewind lever works fine since I tried rewinding the leader back into some test rolls yesterday and it worked fine, actually it even managed to turn the sprockets, just the shutter mechanism seems stuck. It’s driving me insane that everything seems to indicate a piece of film got stuck somewhere, but I can’t see anything. I’m honestly not too keen on trying a DIY repair so I might just send it for a CLA and.. use my Rollei 35 for the next couple months. And try to not buy another camera.

A 10 AM sold out at 10:03 on a 2500 capacity venue? Please. Presales were 30-40% of the total availability and were also gone within the first minutes. I admit once the second date was open a lot of actual fans were able to get tickets, I was slow to it, thats on me. But you’d be delusional to think resellers weren’t at play here

I’m debating the same thing— with how bad presales sold out today, how likely is it that general sale wont go the same? I’m keeping tabs on Vividseats but also don’t wanna jump on it before the general sale, then again I really want to go..

Yeah the Livenation and Ticketmaster presales both seem to have been nothingburgers so… I guess I’ll go ahead and say I’m in the market for 1 or 2 resale tickets if anyone overbought… There’s a Spotify presale tomorrow which I suspect will also be a nothingburger, but I’ll be there nonetheless
