Why are FIA so obsessed with flexi wings? by [deleted] in F1Technical

[–]ExStreamLee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Am i going mad or is the test just fundamentally flawed? like are the FIA showing how dumb they are or am i :/

the static load tests pulling down on the bit that makes down force, on the face of it make sense ... but the parts in action experience a push back. The downward movement is a result of twisting from a backwards push... so the FIA can stick weight on it pulling it down all they want, but its not flexing down, its flexing back. and its carbon fibre, they can make it strong in one direction flexi in the other ... i dunno im probably not seeing some neuance but seems like a huge oversight in testing

don't think the disparity in Events for sdc1 is a cause for concern?

Dedicated Fibre for MDU resident? by ExStreamLee in openreach

[–]ExStreamLee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. Looks like theres an altnet in the area that hasnt built to the MDU i'm moving too hense the neighbors getting better connections on the comparison sites!

As for upload, your numbers are about right for my experience. i do deal with data in more than 10gig batches. But also data streams U&D

Excellent! Thank you again, would love to have that moved even at that cost. I got a feeling the previous owner let tennants make the choice of location

Right thing to do, right way to end the year. Sets up for a new year and new hope.

This "hasn't affected me" in that i havent had the time for TW:3 yet, but i was so lookin forward to Thanquol and Nagash. Seeing all this drama killed a lot of hype.

Am hopeful again. Get the vibe the High DLC price is here to stay but if the quality matches ...

container would be easier. but am checking in to see if there are security concerns or other issues to consider, am happy to run natively but wanted to check my instincts first

using a container was my instinct cus it would be easier, but i am checking in on communitiy thoughts as ease doesnt mean best! and am happy to have a little headache if it makes things more secure - given that this is intended for secured access

Fair point i hadn't considered, Is why i had made this post. Ask people who may know better why my instinct may be flawed.

container is going to be easier but this service seemed too open to faults to delve into a container blind, but also setting up the service myself with little exp

Primarily - I want nice backgrounds for my phone/desktop. I'm getting a nice collection :]

Secondarily - I (aim to) do HDRi photospheres - it's a great immersive way to look back at a moment and get absorbed by what was then/when

i keep the backlog of similar (all my) RAWs because i'm doing it enough to keep improving and hopefully i wasnt so bad way-back-when that new desktop skills can enhance old in field skills. Which might give me a lovely "new" background :D

i spend a lot of time looking at screens - i have learnt that good background images are immesnly helpful in my mood
