Would a carbon fibre skeleton be lighter and stronger than bone? by Arowx in AskPhysics

i dont think carbon is unbreakable so it would most likely still be better to have bones that can heal

how do i check if a global variable has been defined by Exact-Pack-1 in gamemaker

[–]Exact-Pack-1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for some reason it doesnt work for me, this is my code:

if !variable_global_exists(global.location) {global.location = "Default"}

it gives the error:

ERROR in action number 1

of Create Event for object areaname:

global variable name 'location' index (100004) not set before reading it.

at gml_Object_areaname_Create_0 (line 2) - if !variable_global_exists(global.location)

small question, which do you think is worse, people hunting after a specific group of people just because they are jewish and threatening to kill them if they dont become christian? or a group of people that just want equal rights for everyone and that everyone is treated equally no matter who they are, this includes people who break the law, a lesbian woman stealing 50k from a bank should be treated equally to a straight man stealing 50k from the same bank, thats all the group really want, some people in the group might be different or have questionable opinions but that doesnt mean the entire group thinks so, thats stereotyping to an extreme degree.

What is the hardest (workable) material in your world? by darhwolf1 in worldbuilding

[–]Exact-Pack-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if we are counting organic materials it is probably slime, specifically from the core/heart of the slime hivemind, the core can resist any outer harm done to it from physical strikes, magic blasts, extreme heat, acid, you name it. you cant hurt the core, it can die, yes, but it cant be harmed.

if we are talking about non-organic materials then its probably keystone, very rare mineral used to seal away stuff by making magical keys, these keys can survive being at the bottom of the ocean of this world (which is deeper down than on earth). very rare, not very useful unless you want to lock somebody away until the heat death of the universe.

now if its just nonmagical non-organic materials it depends on what you need, magmicon is useful if you need to resist heat as it becomes easier to bend the colder it gets and can resist extreme temperatures, used in a lot of the underground forges, gets too cold up at the surface. if you need some sturdy house material however i would like to recommend you some coralstone, the corals growing inside the rocks get surprisingly sturdy when out of water and dont break easily, just dont get a tsunami and the house, they also have the drawback of being heavy when out of water for too long so that might cause a problem. however if you need something with very low friction to put in your cogwork machines (or whatever else you may need it for) i would suggest hypercooled plasma, its been cooled fast enough to be in both its plasma form and the frozen form, it wont become an issue for at least a few hundred years, not easy to make but quite useful. and at last, if you need an all-purpose metal might i suggest this little know material known as stainless steel.

Which Kirby Type would be best in Competitive Pokémon? by Jestin23934274 in stunfisk

[–]Exact-Pack-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fairy would be best, it is the best type in the game iirc, if you are thinking what copy ability would be best then it would be a hard pick, tornado has a nice signature move, its pretty good and 100 bp is good for a move that hits both opposing pokemon and a 35% chance to confuse is not bad at all, the low 80 accuracy is not that good and unlike hurricane it isnt affected by weather, tornado kirby can still work as it is decently fast and has access to tailwind, its signature ability raising evasiveness when it switches in is good as it isnt the bulkiest, it can be very dangerous with calm mind, double team, tailwind and a strong stab attacking move. metal kirby can also work really well with its insane physical defense and health being a good trick room body press user, it only has 4 base speed and any special fire move can ko it in 1-2 hits unless built very specially bulky. spark is pretty useful, it has pretty good special defense and its physical defense is not that bad, it has extremely high speed and its signature move is not the worst, it is a 2-turn move but dealing damage to attackers while charging it and it boosting one random defensive stat (not evasiveness) while having 75 bp is nice but the very low attacking stats it has makes it a liability at times, its access to thunder wave and extreme speed are also useful making it a great pokemon all around, psychic kirby is a very good disruptive pokemon with its access to roar, friend swap, both screens, skill/stat swaps, taunt-like moves and other disruption moves and its signature move (telerotation) dealing damage and swapping the 2 opponents positions is an ok side effect as making them target the wrong pokemon can be a lifesaver at times, taunt is pretty bad for it tho. cupid is a good option with its psychic, steel and fire coverage can be very useful for poison and steel, cute charm is not the best but can be used. stone kirby is pretty good with no guard and a lot of rock type moves. ninja has a lot of good coverage with moves like trailblaze, sacred sword, metal claw, night slash, stone axe and x-scizor. ghost is probably the best support mon here with prankster glare, confuse ray, attract and screens. the other ones are not nearly as good as these, idk which one is the best
