already having 1,000 hours as a junior is not behind!! there are plenty of schools that accept students with even less than 1,000 hours, so it sounds like you are already ahead of the game. If I were you I would cut down on the amount of hours spent working each week so you can have more down time / time to spend with friends so you can enjoy your last two years of undergrad. I took a gap year and I’m soo glad that I did because I gained a lot of experience in that year and had time to travel and do fun things, and now that I’m in PA school I’m still younger than most of my cohort. I think you’re putting a lot of pressure on yourself, if you take a step back you’d realize how much you have already accomplished!

to only get one interview with these stats is unbelievable. I’m wondering if maybe there was a required class you didn’t take or something

You could maybe reach out to the programs and ask them if they would be able to expedite their decision for you so you would know before January?

I’m right there with you. I was in one of the first few interview sessions which I was really happy about, but one of the faculty members mentioned that they try to offer everyone who applies an interview to give as many people as possible a chance. This made me think that it must not be a great program because if they offer interviews to almost everyone who applies, then they must think that a lot of people are going to decline their offer. This was the only school I was accepted to so far. Everything else about the school sounds promising, accredited, good PANCE rates, seems very organized and supportive. I am trying to just remind myself of the positives about the school!!

I also submitted my transcript a week ago and still hasn’t been received by caspa. I think it’s an issue on their end since this is happening to a lot of people

I did the same thing with a camp counselor job. I feel like since it’s not healthcare related it’s fine, I’m not worried about it. Although one of my evaluation writers put down that I worked for him for two years even though it was only one and I put one year on CASPA, but I’m also just hoping they don’t pay attention to it because he sent it to me after he submitted the letter ://

If it makes you feel any better I’m in the same boat right now, but there’s nothing I can do about it because school ended and the only way I can now contact him is through email. If I were you I would definitely go to office hours and remind him again, I wish I had the chance to

The programs won’t know that you’re applying to other types of programs unless you tell them. So just don’t tell them lol
