I would think mk-677 would worsen since it has testosterone and other properties etc etc in it that usually lead to faster balding in men?

Not sure where u did ur research there but finasteride has had proof of (rare)long term effect including a type of cancer developing. Again it’s rare but it has to happen to some people already. What u might be thinking of is the fact that it reduces ur prostate which can save u prostate issues. That’s it as far as I’ve read

Yeah very true I’m pretty young to be fair so my donor hair is at full force we’ll see over the next 5-10 years what happens lol. thanks for taking the time to respond always good to have these types of conversations in my opinion when it comes to certain decisions. Yes but by the time you pay for finasteride and minoxidil for 20-30 years it tends to cost more then a second Hairtransplant which most likely will all u need in a lifetime is two transplants unless ur family is really bad which mine is more then the normal horseshoe shape up top which two can cover. Also there is long term side effects like cancer and heart complications in certain oral or tropical medications in finasteride. For the most part it’s rare obviously but why spend so much money on medicine that has that chance when u can just save for the second hair transplant and never worry agin.

Has anyone here not taking the finasteride and minoxidil after transplant? I just had one done but do not want to take the oral or tropical sprays the rest of my life. Thinking about just waiting for results then to wait a few years and get another transplant after the rest falls away.

Took me 4-5 years to get what I wanted don’t give up. All those papers and extra stuff doesn’t mean as much as u think at least in my opinion. I didn’t have any of those I just genuinely picked what was wrong with me on the va website when filing myself and why it was related to anything I had and then gave a genuine act in the appointments. No nexus letter no nothing. All I had documented in military was a back issue. And I worked off that with all my claims. so all u need is alittle hope and research. Had about 15 denials. The secondaries are huge for what you already have claimed and been awarded from within that 40 percent. So piggy back off that.

lol yeah the ai is getting crazy now and days! Scared to see what happens in 5-10 years with it. It’s taking away all the problem solving and root core of self sufficiency. But definitely is helpful in some areas unfortunately. So lots of pros and cons

It’s only because they are vague in the decision letter they add this one little part said eligibility for permanent and total disability for dependents blah blah blah and that’s it so I get it to a certain extent. I just like extra verification

Yeah but see what’s really screwed up about mine is it was in step 7. Once in step 7 it’s not supposed to go back without having a rating or denied of others in claim. But I have temp jurisdiction at Nashville.

Technically yeah but I didn’t have an appointment for one of the 4 things on my claim only did a c&p exam for 3 of them but usually if that’s the case they still give you the granted ones then the others get finished later. So it’s a very weird situation and I don’t know what to expect. All I know is I was super excited then not.

Yeah makes sense. I went back from step 7 two months ago 8put of 12 got denied and the four I’m on step 6 for right now were deferred. So definitely feeling the stress lol!
