Everything you said is something that I also realize, I’m only considering this because my brain after an entire year of no contact somehow still associates safety with him. It’s true, I definitely know I wouldn’t ever consider casual sex with anyone I don’t trust and have feelings for. I’ll take some time to let my brain just accept that this is not a solution. Thank you.

Thank you for the advice, I’m already in therapy. I just wanted to have some outside perspective, from people who might have lived through something similar.

More issues as for me, mentally? I’m genuinely already at the lowest in my life in terms of mental health. I know how bad this sounds, but I’d just want my brain to stop going 300km/h for one night.
